Balanga Elementary School conducted the administration of the Philippine Informal Reading Inventory (Phil-IRI) Assessment as part of its commitment to strengthening learners' reading skills and improving literacy outcomes.
The assessment serves as an essential tool in determining learners' reading levels and identifying appropriate interventions to support their reading development.
Through this assessment, the school aims to gather valuable data that will guide teachers in providing targeted instruction and effective reading interventions for every learner.

As part of the Opening Block activities for School Year 2026–2027, Balanga Elementary School conducted the height and weight measurement of learners to assess their nutritional status.
The data gathered will help guide the school's nutrition and health programs, ensuring appropriate support for every learner throughout the school year.

This afternoon, Balanga Elementary School successfully conducted its General Assembly, bringing together parents and stakeholders in preparation for the smooth implementation of School Year 2026–2027.
The program commenced with the Welcome Remarks and Presentation of Objectives by School Principal Agnes Magdalera, followed by an orientation on learner assessment by the OIC Assistant Principal, Mercedita Viray.
May N. Crespo, Master Teacher I, discussed the school's policies and guidelines, while Arlene Isip, Master Teacher III, presented the special programs and activities to be implemented throughout the school year. Analyn Lugtu, Master Teacher I, also oriented parents on the guidelines regarding the cancellation of classes.
The assembly served as an avenue to strengthen collaboration between the school and parents, ensuring that everyone is well-informed and prepared to support the learners' academic growth and well-being throughout the school year.

Balanga Elementary School proudly shares the successful brainstorming and collaboration meeting held between our School Principal, Ma’am Agnes Magdalera, Ma’am May N. Crespo, and Seonghwan Kim, Founder and Chairperson of the Positive Discipline Association Korea (PDAK).
The meeting focused on the upcoming activities scheduled on July 31, highlighting meaningful learning experiences and initiatives in line with the Yangpyeong Elementary School Cultural Exchange with Balanga Elementary School.

Today, Balanga Elementary School warmly welcomed the Division Field Technical Assistance Team as part of the monitoring activities for the Opening Block of School Year 2026–2027.
Anchored in RA 9155 (Basic Education Act of 2001) and RM No. 382, s. 2023, on the Intensified Technical Assistance Systems and Mechanisms of the Regional and Schools Division Offices, the activity aims to ensure the smooth implementation of school opening procedures and the timely delivery of technical assistance in support of the Learning Reforms System and the Three-Term School Calendar.
