BHC Supreme Student Government

𝗢𝗙𝗙𝗜𝗖𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗔𝗡𝗡𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧: 𝗦𝗦𝗚 𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗨𝗟𝗧𝗦 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

We are delighted to officially announce the results of the Supreme Student Government (SSG) Executive and Legislative Council Elections 2026, concluded on April 25, 2026, as validated and certified by the BHC Elections Committee.

This election served as a 𝗠𝗘𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗙𝗨𝗟 𝗧𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗧𝗢 𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗘𝗠𝗣𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗥𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧.
To ensure a mandate of strong support, all candidates regardless of whether they ran unopposed were still required to secure at least 𝟲𝟬% + 𝟭 of the total valid votes cast to be officially elected.

It is important to note that the 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗚𝗥𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗖𝗘𝗦𝗦 remained our top priority. While the majority of ballots were successful, a small number of invalid ballots were recorded (specifically in the Executive Council election) due to verification requirements. These were excluded from the final count to ensure a fair and transparent result.

• Vice President: Marc Alex Santiago (63%)
• External Project Manager: Jose Zalvador Nava (78%)

𝗟𝗘𝗚𝗜𝗦𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗖𝗜𝗟 (𝗦𝗘𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗦):

Candidates for Secretary, Treasurer, Auditor, and select Senatorial seats who did not reach the 𝟲𝟬% + 𝟭 𝗧𝗛𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗟𝗗 were not elected, in strict accordance with the election guidelines.

These newly elected student leaders are called not just to hold titles, but to be true 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗜𝗡𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗦, 𝗔𝗗𝗩𝗢𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗥𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗦, and 𝗖𝗔𝗧𝗔𝗟𝗬𝗦𝗧𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗜𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗚𝗘 within our community.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT | SUPREME STUDENT GOVERNMENT ELECOM

The Supreme Student Government Election Committee sincerely apologizes for the sudden interruption of the Facebook Live broadcast during the recently held Miting de Avance. The live stream was cut short due to an unforeseen technical issue, while the program itself continued through Google Meet.

We also acknowledge the delays and intervals experienced during the live broadcast. Despite these challenges, questions raised in the Facebook Live comment section were still accommodated and answered during the Open Forum segment on Google Meet.

The online setup was implemented in consideration of the current responsibilities of incumbent SSG officers serving under the Election Committee, many of whom are graduating students currently completing clearances and preparing for their examinations.

On behalf of the ELECOM, we take full accountability for the shortcomings that occurred and sincerely apologize to the student body, candidates, and all viewers. We appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued support.

Despite this setback, we remain committed to our guiding principle:

“Connecting the Community.”

We assure everyone that improvements will be made to better serve the students in all future activities.

This is to formally announce the 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗦𝗦𝗚) 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲. Their qualifications and respective Certificates of Candidacy (COCs) have been duly reviewed by the Election Committee (composed of graduating outgoing SSG officers, and the SSG Adviser, Asst. Head of OSAS and the OSAS Head as moderators).

Please take note that one applicant has been disqualified after careful evaluation based on the qualifications and requirements set forth in the Student Government Constitution and By-Laws. While this may be a difficult outcome, we acknowledge and appreciate the applicant’s willingness to serve. For further clarification, the concerned applicant may directly contact the SSG. They are also encouraged to run in the Department Student Government Elections, with details and schedule to be announced.
