The Sangguniang Kabataan of Sinapangan Sur is pleased to announce the Distribution of School Supplies 2026 for qualified student residents of Barangay Sinapangan Sur.

📍 Venue: Sinapangan Sur Covered Court
This program is open to High School and College students who are residents of Barangay Sinapangan Sur. The first 150 qualified students will receive school supplies.
📌 Please bring your Student ID or any proof that you are currently enrolled as a student.
📌 Claim your school supplies personally. No representatives will be allowed.
We encourage all eligible students to arrive early and be guided accordingly.

Barangay Sinapangan Sur successfully conducted a One-Day Seminar on Community Safety, VAWC Awareness, Fire Prevention, and Solid Waste Management aimed at strengthening public awareness and promoting preparedness, discipline, and environmental responsibility within the community. The activity was attended by Barangay Officials, Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Barangay Tanods, Sangguniang Kabataan Officials, and members of the Lupong Tagapamayapa.
The seminar became possible through the support of the Local Government Unit of Balaoan headed by Municipal Mayor Carlo Castor U. Concepcion and Vice Mayor Atty. Aleli U. Concepcion, whose continued assistance and support to community-based programs are highly appreciated by the barangay.
During the seminar, representatives from various government agencies served as resource speakers and discussed important topics related to public safety and community welfare.
The Philippine National Police – Balaoan discussed Republic Act No. 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children (VAWC) Act, community safety measures, as well as municipal and provincial ordinances. The discussion was facilitated by PSSg Crispin Macusi, PAT Clarence Oblero, and PAT Lovely Joy Olais.
Meanwhile, the La Union Provincial EOD and Canine Unit conducted an informative discussion on Bomb Threat Management and Project ABKD. The session was led by PCPT Signed Caccan, PCMS Edison Sabado, and PMSG Jon Jon Sagay, who shared important reminders and safety measures regarding potential bomb threats and public security.
The Bureau of Fire Protection – Balaoan also provided a lecture on Fire Prevention and demonstrated the proper use of fire extinguishers. The discussion and demonstration were facilitated by FO2 Jan Arvin Castillo and FO1 Erick Morales to help participants become more prepared during fire-related emergencies.
In addition, the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) of LGU Balaoan discussed Solid Waste Management and emphasized the importance of proper waste segregation, environmental cleanliness, and responsible waste disposal practices. The discussion was led by Mr. Marvin Mark Marron.
Barangay Sinapangan Sur extends its sincere gratitude to all partner agencies, resource speakers, participants, and supporters who contributed to the success of the activity. Through seminars and awareness programs such as this, the barangay continues to promote a safer, more informed, and environmentally responsible community.
