Ngayong Road Safety Month, mariing paalala sa lahat na huwag nating balewalain ang mga batas trapiko. Hindi rason ang "diyan lang ako sa tabi" o "saglit lang naman" para hindi mag-suot ng helmet o sundin ang batas trapiko.

Hindi lang ito para makaiwas sa penalty o ticket. Ito ay para protektahan ang buhay mo.

Kahit gaano pa tayo nagmamadali, laging isipin na may pamilyang nag-aantay sa'yo sa bahay na makauwi ka nang ligtas.

The Public Order and Safety Office (POSO), together with Office of Economic enterprise (OEE) personnel, successfully completed the Fire Drill, Fire Fighting, and Safety Seminar held on April 29–30. The lecture and hands-on training were conducted by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), enhancing participants’ knowledge, emergency response skills, and fire safety awareness in ensuring public safety and community protection.

The Public Order and Safety Office (POSO) actively assisted during the fire incident at Cabua-an, Balaoan, La Union On April 24, 2026 8:40 in the morning by managing and controlling traffic congestion to ensure the safe and efficient movement of emergency responders.

Through coordinated efforts, POSO helped maintain order, secured access routes, and supported firefighting operations in protecting lives and property.

The Public Order and Safety Office (POSO) actively participated in the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team (BPATs) Training Seminar held on April 7–8, aimed at enhancing the knowledge, skills, and preparedness of community peacekeepers in maintaining public safety and order.

The two-day seminar provided participants with essential basic training and awareness sessions from partner agencies, including Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) on bomb threat awareness and safety procedures, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) on fire prevention and emergency response, the Philippine National Police (PNP) on peacekeeping and law enforcement coordination, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on anti-illegal drug awareness, and the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA) on security and intelligence awareness and also Department of Social welfare and Development (DSWD) .

Through continuous collaboration and capacity-building initiatives with Balaoan PNP, POSO remains committed to strengthening with BPAT members as reliable frontliners in promoting peace, safety, and security within the community.

On March 2 ,2026 Public Order and Safety Office (POSO) actively conducted monitoring and security operations during the Good Friday observance.
Under the supervision of Team Leader Mr. Daniel Vincent Ragca, and in close coordination with the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and other LGU personnel, the team ensured public safety, traffic management, and orderly conduct of activities throughout the solemn occasion.

This joint effort highlights the continued commitment of all agencies to serve, protect, and maintain peace and order in the community during the Holy Week observance.

The Local Government of Balaoan, under the leadership of Mayor Carlo Castor U. Concepcion, MMPA, announces the imposition of a Liquor Ban in Balaoan, La Union from 12:01 AM of April 2, 2026 (Thursday) to 11:59 PM of April 5, 2026 (Sunday), in solemn observance of Holy Week 2026.

This measure is in line with the solemn observance of the Lenten Season.

On April 1,2026 the Public Order and Safety Office (POSO), under the supervision of Team Leader Mr. Daniel Ragca, Traffic Management Enforcers conducted monitoring and enforcement operations at Balaoan Farmers Commercial Center Also known as Balaoan Public Market . Citation tickets were issued to violators for failure to wear helmets and illegal parking as part of the office’s continuing effort to strengthen traffic discipline, promote road safety, and maintain public order within the community.
