The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Aurora Provincial Office continues to bring National ID services closer to every Auroran.

As of August 31, 2026, a total of 177,454 National IDs in Paper Form have been issued across the province, representing 75% of all Step 2 registrants.

🏆 Baler recorded the highest number of National ID in Paper Form issuances with 44,164, accounting for 25% of the total issuances in Aurora Province. Meanwhile, issuance activities continue across all municipalities to ensure that every registered individual receives their National ID in Paper Form while awaiting the availability of the physical National ID card.

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Aurora Provincial Office continues to expand National ID registration across the province, bringing government services closer to every Auroran.

As of August 31, 2026, Aurora has recorded a total of 237,216 successful Step 2 registrations, representing 99% completion of the province's 2024 population target.

🏆 Baler recorded the highest number of successful registrations with 58,267, accounting for 25% of the total registrations in the province. Meanwhile, registration activities continue across all municipalities to ensure that every eligible resident is registered.
Step 2 Registration is the process of validating supporting documents and capturing an individual's biometric information, including fingerprints, iris scan, and front-facing photograph. Completing this step is essential for the issuance of the Philippine National ID.

The Investment Coordination Committee-Cabinet Committee (ICC-CC) approved the Philippine Digital National Identity (PDNI) Project of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) during its 09 September 2026 meeting to further develop and enhance the country’s National ID System with a focus on its digital infrastructure and services.

The PDNI project covers the upgrading, operations, and maintenance of the National ID System, including registration, card production, authentication services, technical onboarding and integration of private sector relying parties, and the operations of the National ID's key ICT infrastructure.

For Filipinos, this means a more accessible and efficient registration process and a more streamlined authentication services using the National ID.

16 September 2026 – Baler, Aurora. The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) – Aurora conducted a presentation on the National ID Authentication Services (NIDAS) in celebration of International Identity Day on 16 September 2026 at Punta Baler Hotel, Barangay Sabang, Baler, Aurora.

The activity was conducted during the “Advancing CBMS Statistics through Statistical Standards and Classifications: Capacity Building on SSRCS and PSIC Provincial Level Training,” attended by 22 participants from various agencies and 10 PSA personnel.

Registration Officer I (RO I) Merry Ann P. Achiles of the PSA Aurora National ID Team discussed the National ID System, the benefits of NIDAS, and its integration into the systems of the relying parties.

She highlighted how NIDAS supports secure and efficient identity verification, improved service delivery, data security, and reduced identity fraud. The activity strengthened awareness of the National ID System and NIDAS and highlighted their role in promoting secure digital identity verification and more efficient public service delivery.
