📅September 29, 2026, (Tuesday) in observance of "Foundation Anniversary", pursuant to Republic Act No. 9706, which declares the 29th day of September of every year a Special Non-Working Public Holiday in the Municipality of Balilihan, Province of Bohol.

The 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗶𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (Fundação Biblioteca Nacional), in partnership with the Instituto Guimarães Rosa, is accepting applications for its 2026 programme supporting the translation, publication, and distribution of Brazilian literary works abroad.

💰 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁𝘀:
• USD 1,000–6,000 for new translations or editions
• Up to USD 3,000 for re-editions
Since 1991, the programme has supported nearly 1,500 works in more than 70 countries.
Applications are evaluated based on the proposed work, international impact, editorial feasibility, and translator qualifications.
