๐๐ฅ FIRE SAFETY LECTURE AND FIRE DRILL | MISAMIS ORIENTAL PROVINCIAL HOSPITAL ๐งฏ๐จ
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) โ Balingasag Fire Station successfully conducted a Fire Safety Lecture and Fire Drill for the personnel of the Misamis Oriental Provincial Hospital, aimed at strengthening their knowledge, preparedness, and response capabilities during fire emergencies.
The activity included a comprehensive discussion on fire prevention and safety, proper identification of fire hazards, the Fire Triangle, common causes of fire, appropriate use of fire extinguishers, emergency procedures, and the importance of maintaining clear and accessible exits and evacuation routes.
Following the lecture, participants actively took part in the fire drill and practical emergency response exercises, simulating an actual fire emergency. Personnel were guided on the proper procedures for raising the alarm, evacuation, assisting patients and other vulnerable individuals, accounting for personnel, and coordinating with responding emergency teams.
๐ฅ As a healthcare facility, preparedness is especially important because hospitals care for patients who may have limited mobility or require assistance during an emergency. Regular fire drills help ensure that hospital personnel can respond quickly and safely while minimizing risks to patients, staff, and visitors.
The BFP commends the Misamis Oriental Provincial Hospital management and personnel for their active participation and cooperation in promoting a culture of fire safety, preparedness, and disaster resilience.
๐ฅ Remember: Fire safety is everyone's responsibility. Prevention is always better than firefighting!
