Piso Diaries: Wais na Piso, Pangarap Sigurado

Last October 4, 2025, the students from ACT241 successfully conducted their outreach project at Bukal ng Buhay. It was a meaningful day filled with smiles, laughter, and learning as we shared the importance of financial literacy with the children through fun and engaging activities.

This included the Mini Shopping Activity, where the kids practiced wise spending using play money, and the Drawing Session, where they expressed their dreams and future goals through art. Seeing their happiness and excitement reminded us of the beauty of giving, teaching, and inspiring others. It was truly heartwarming to witness how small lessons can create big impacts on young minds.

We are deeply thankful to everyone who made this project possible, especially to our sponsors, donors, facilitators, and classmates who worked together with dedication and compassion. This experience will always remind us that even the smallest coin can make a big difference and that genuine service starts with a kind heart.

Spaces of Change: Mini-Library Turnover Ceremony at Baliwag City Jail

In the spirit of education, empowerment, and compassion, the Nationalian Office and Community Extension Office of NU Baliwag, in collaboration with the School of Architecture and School of Engineering and Technology Faculty, proudly spearheaded the turnover of the Mini-Library at the Baliwag City Jail – Male Dormitory.

This initiative stands as a testament to the unwavering commitment of the Nationalian students, whose passion and volunteerism made this meaningful endeavor possible. 💛💙

The project marks the second phase of a transformative journey, from Books of Change, to Spaces of Change, and now transitioning to its third chapter:
“Chapters of Change – Training and Library Development for PDL Learning Spaces.”

Under NUB CARES: Nurturing Upliftment through Blissful Compassionate Assistance and Rehabilitation for Empowering Second Chances (Year II), this initiative continues to promote rehabilitation through education, literacy, and renewed hope for Persons Deprived of Liberty.

In line with the National Correctional Consciousness Week 2025, the Guidance Services Office and Community Extension Office of NU Baliwag successfully conducted a Stress Management Seminar aimed at promoting mental wellness, self-awareness, and positive coping strategies for Persons Deprived of Liberty.

This meaningful initiative was led by Ms. Tracy Ma. Angela D. Cruz together with her dedicated committee — Mr. Hans Jethro P. Cortez, Ms. Gianella M. Isais, Ms. Crizzah Joi V. Ramos, and Mr. Simon Peter V. Dela Rosa — whose commitment to service made this program significant and compassionate. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology for their continuous partnership and support in creating transformative opportunities for rehabilitation and personal growth. 💛💙

The activity aimed to help young learners build a strong foundation in financial literacy by teaching them how to budget, save, and spend wisely. Through games, discussions, and fun learning tasks, the kids discovered that being a “KwarTalino” means using money not just smartly—but purposefully. 🪙✨

This initiative highlights the ABM strand’s continuing effort to empower communities through learning—proving that even small lessons in money management today can lead to smarter choices and brighter futures tomorrow. 🌱💛

🌻✨ 𝑳𝒊𝒍𝒂𝒚 𝒂𝒕 𝑯𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒈: A Reflective Talk on Bullying and Mental Health Awareness ✨🌻

Last 𝑶𝒄𝒕𝒐𝒃𝒆𝒓 𝟏𝟗, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, the 𝑯𝑼𝑴𝑺𝑺 𝑺𝒐𝒄𝒊𝒆𝒕𝒚 of the 𝑺𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒐𝒓 𝑯𝒊𝒈𝒉 𝑺𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒍 Department proudly held 𝐋𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐚𝐭 𝐇𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐠: A Reflective Talk on Bullying and Mental Health Awareness, a meaningful community extension, in collaboration with Sta. Barbara High School.

The program aimed to raise awareness about the effects of bullying and to promote empathy, kindness, and mental well-being among young learners. Through heartfelt discussions, sharing sessions, and reflective activities, the participants were encouraged to understand that compassion and understanding can create a safe and supportive community for all. 💛

Through this initiative, the HUMSS society continues to embody the strand’s mission of fostering socially aware, empathetic, and service-driven individuals—proving that true humanity begins with kindness and understanding. 🌻🤝
