BABAE TABANG SA BABAE! ππ
Breast cancer and cervical cancer remain among the major causes of cancer-related illness and death among Filipino women. Early screening is important for early detection, timely treatment, and prevention of complications.
In celebration of Pinktober, the Bantayan LGU with the Bantayan Primary Care Facility are organizing Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening activities throughout the month of October in the Poblacion barangays and other barangays with a high population of women.
The activity will include:
π Breast and Cervical Cancer Awareness Campaigns
π Education on signs and symptoms and risk factors
π Information on what we can do to prevent and detect cancer early
π FREE Pap Smear and VIA (Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid)
π FREE Clinical Breast Examination (CBE)
π Free Thermal Ablation for eligible patients with cervical precancerous lesions
The activity will be spearheaded by Doc Jaja, a trained breast and cervical cancer screening provider, together with Maβam Mayles Jugan, PHN Focal Person, and our dedicated Midwives.
This initiative is aligned with the Department of Healthβs cancer prevention and control efforts and is supported through our partnership with RAFI (Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, Inc.).
π£ Watch out for the screening schedule!
Everyone is welcome to participate, including women from neighboring barangays. Let us encourage our mothers, sisters, daughters, friends, and fellow women to get screened.
Early detection saves lives. Prevention starts with us. π
Babae tabang sa babae. Magpa-screen. Magpakabana. Magpuyo nga himsog. π
