History is Everywhere!

Pahalipay sa aton mga ate - Ate Roxanne and Ate Alphae sa ila gipangshare bahin sa history didto sa Dumaguete. 🦋 Usa sa amon nakat-unan kay “Natural history asks as to notice,” based sa presentation ni Ate Alphae. Gipakita ini sa ila duha nga presentation nga nano ka importante nga sa aton pagmatngon sa aton palibot, damo kitay makat-unan sa iya pagkaabunda kag sang anhon pagalaga sini sa ila. These women show us the courage and inspiration to continue studying about history and our environment, and how joyful it is to do this with the community. Salamat kaayo! Sa sunod na lat ✨🫶🏻

We continue to oppose violence, abuse, neglect, and exploitation. We continue to work for justice, peace and healing, and to create enduring cultures of peace. Storytelling on Martial Law in Mayâ 🤍

This Saturday, September 19 at 2:30 pm, we commemorate the anniversary of the declaration of Martial Law in the Philippines on September 21. We will be reading the story The Magic Arrow by Bolet Banal and illustrated by Korinne Banal, a story of an ordinary man’s heroic sacrifice for truth and freedom for his countrymen. This storybook is part of the book collection.

We gathered together to talk about art and make art last Sunday. Malipayon kami kay nagkapundok kami sang amon mga ate and kuya from Cebu kag diri sa aton sa Bantayan Island kung diin nagisturyahanay kami sang process, inspiration and hope we find in art. Our young artists from Santa Fe Arts Club also shared their time and energy to share their current practice and also be open to learning from our ates and kuyas. It was a good reminder for us to celebrate our talents and gifts and enjoy good time with friends!
