THE YOUTH, THE HOPE OF THE NATION
Steadfast troopers under LTC CHRISTOPHER M DIAZ INF (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer, 80IB in partnership with LGU Tanay headed by Honourable Rex Manuel C Tanjuatco, Municipal Mayor facilitate the 3-day 5th Youth Leadership Summit 2019 with the theme: “Empowering today’s Youth, Nurturing Radiant, Modest and Tactful Leader!”. The activity was held at 2nd Division Training School, 2nd Infantry (Jungle Fighter) Division, Philippine Army from 12-15 March 2019 and it was participated in by seventy nine (79) youth participants coming from the different Barangays of Tanay, Rizal.

The 80th Infantry (Steadfast) Battalion, 2nd Infantry (Jungle Fighter) Division, Philippine, Army led by Msg Milo S Montevirgen (SC) PA, Battalion Sergeant Major, in partnership with the Sanguniang Barangay and Local residents of South Ville 9, Phase 1, headed by Hon Jeofrey R Seclot, Brgy Chairman of Brgy Pinugay, Baras, Rizal, conducted clean-up drive in connection with the commemoration of the 122nd Founding Anniversary of the Philippine Army with the theme; “122 Years of Heroism: Serving the People, Securing the Land” on 01 March 2019.

On 25 February 2019, the 80th Infantry (Steadfast) Battalion, 2nd Infantry (Jungle Fighter) Division, Philippine Army led by LTC CHRISTOPHER M DIAZ INF (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer together with the Staff Officers and Enlisted Personnel of this unit welcome the newly assigned Privates to the home of the Steadfast Troopers during the flag raising ceremony held at Headquarters 80IB, Sitio Galaxy, Brgy Pinugay , Baras, Rizal.

The 80th Infantry (Steadfast) Battalion, 2nd Infantry (Jungle Fighter) Division, Philippine Army headed by LTC CHRISTOPHER M DIAZ INF (GSC) PA accompanied Police General Reynaldo Velasco (Retired), MWSS Administrator, Hon. Eliseo R Ruzol Sr, Municipal Mayor of General Nakar Quezon, and other NGOs during a site inspection of the road leading to the construction of Kaliwa Dam at Sitio Queborosa, Barangay Magsaysay, Infanta, Quezon last 21 February 2019.

In collaboration with the different agencies towards a secure and fair Election in May 2019, the 80th Infantry (Steadfast) Battalion, 2ID, PA participates in the Peace Covenant Signing held at ABC Hall of Teresa, Rizal on 230900 February 2019. The activity was attended by the different political candidates, with religious groups, Academe, NGOs and different government agencies. The Steadfast Battalion was represented by MAJ SANJIE B SANGATANAN (MI) PA, Battalion Executive Officer with 1LT JUVELLE R MAUREAL (INF) PA, Battalion CMO Officer.

On 23 February 2019, personnel of 80th Infantry (Steadfast) Battalion, 2nd Infantry (Jungle Fighter) Division, Philippine, Army headed by Maj Sanjie B Sangatanan (MI) PA, Battalion Executive Officer participated in the Fun Run activity at Aurora Subdivision, Angono, Rizal that was organized by the Holy Deliverance Integration Christian School with the theme: “FUN RUN FOR LOVE WITH JESUS”.

LTC CHRISTOPHER M DIAZ INF (GSC) PA, the Commanding Officer of 80th Infantry (Steadfast) Battalion, 2nd Infantry (Jungle Fighter) Division, Philippine Army spearheaded the 1st Province of Rizal Industrial Safety and Security Alliance (PRISSA) 2019 at Headquarters 80IB Sitio Galaxy, Brgy Pinugay, Baras, Rizal on 220900 February 2019. The activity was attended by the PNP headed by PSUPT RUBEN M PIQUERO, Deputy Police Director for Operation (DPPO) and the different stakeholders in the province of Rizal.

The 80TH Infantry (STEADFAST) Battalion, 2ND Infantry (JUNGLE FIGHTER) Division, Philippine Army launched its information drive campaign to schools and universities to provide awareness and shield the students from the CPP-NPA recruitment's and deceptions. This was followed by a static display that promoted the capability and capacity of an Infantry Rifle Squad.

In collaboration with the different agencies towards a secure and fair Election in May 2019, the 80th Infantry (Steadfast) Battalion, 2ID, PA participates in the Peace Covenant Signing held at Diocesan Shrine and Parish of Our Lady of Holy Rosary, Cardona, Rizal on 210530 February 2019. The activity was attended by the different political candidates, with religious groups, Academe, NGOs and different government agencies. The Steadfast Battalion was represented by MAJ SANJIE B SANGATANAN (MI) PA, Battalion Executive Officer.

MGEN RHODERICK M PARAYNO, Commander 2nd Infantry (Jungle Fighter) Division, Philippine Army, was welcomed by 80th Infantry (Steadfast) Battalion under LTC CHRISTOPHER M DIAZ INF (GSC) PA during his visit at Headquarters 80IB, Sitio Galaxy, Brgy Pinugay, Baras, Rizal on February 15 2019.
