Last Tuesday, the City of Batac paid tribute to one of its most distinguished sons.

The 160th birth anniversary of General Artemio “Vibora” Ricarte was commemorated at the Ricarte National Park and Shrine, honoring a revolutionary leader whose unwavering love for the country continues to inspire generations of Batacqueños and Filipinos.

Gracing the occasion as Guest of Honor and Speaker was Congressman Angelo Marcos Barba, who reminded everyone of the courage and conviction that defined General Ricarte’s life and service to the nation.

Joining the commemoration were the Philippine Veterans Affairs Office, the City Government of Batac led by yours truly, educational institutions, war veterans, government agencies, students, and barangay leaders, all coming together to keep the memory of our heroes alive.

Proud moment for the City of Batac!

Last October 16, we joined the Regional Recognition of Achievements in Nation-Building, Inter-Agency Alliances, and Good Governance (RANIAG) Awards 2026 at Stella Maris Hotel in Cabugao, Ilocos Sur, and Batac came home with recognition across the board:

These awards belong to our cooperatives and to every member who shows up, works hard, and serves their community with heart. Congratulations to all of you. Batac is proud of you, and so am I.

Congratulations, Doctors! 🩺🎉

I’m so proud to celebrate the 22 graduates of the Mariano Marcos State University College of Medicine who passed the October 2026 Physicians Licensure Examination.

MMSU achieved a 100% institutional passing rate, well above the national passing rate of 93.66%. This is a big achievement for the university and for all of us here in the City of Batac.

To our new doctors: years of long nights, hard training, and sacrifice brought you here. Your families, mentors, and community are proud of you. I hope you carry the heart of Batac with you wherever your practice takes you, and that some of you choose to serve right here at home. 💚

My congratulations as well to Dean James Patrick Peralta, the faculty, and everyone at the MMSU College of Medicine for guiding them to this result.

4Ps FAMILY DAY

Isang araw ng pagsasama-sama, kasiyahan, at pagpapatibay ng samahan ng mga pamilyang benepisyaryo ng Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps).

Ang Family Day ay pagkakataon upang mas mapalalim ang ugnayan ng bawat pamilya, makapagbahagi ng karanasan, at maipakita ang kahalagahan ng pagkakaisa at pagtutulungan tungo sa mas magandang kinabukasan.

Bawat kabataan ay nararapat magkaroon ng pagkakataong matuto, umunlad, at makapagsimula ng sariling pagkakakitaan.

Through livelihood assistance, binibigyan natin ang ating out-of-school youth ng oportunidad na ma-develop ang kanilang skills, magkaroon ng dagdag na kaalaman, at makapaghanda para sa mas magandang kinabukasan.

Patuloy ang ating pagsuporta sa 2,600 eligible beneficiaries through the 3rd Quarter Social Pension Payout. Layunin ng programang ito na makatulong sa kanilang pang-araw-araw na pangangailangan at maiparamdam ang malasakit ng ating pamahalaang lungsod.

Patuloy tayong maghatid ng serbisyong may malasakit para sa kapakanan ng bawat kababayan.
