The Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) of Barangay Balete successfully conducted its Second (2nd) Regular Monthly Meeting for Calendar Year 2026 on February 2, at the Barangay Balete Session Hall.

The session was attended by eight (8) out of ten (10) SK members, reflecting strong commitment and active participation in advancing youth-oriented governance.

The meeting primarily focused on the February agenda, highlighting programs and initiatives aimed at youth development and community engagement.

The following agenda items were tackled during the session:

1. 1st Katipunan ng Kabataan (KK) Assembly Expenses and Sponsorship
2. February Activity / SKolor Fun Run
3. Annual Budget for CY 2026
4. Barangay Fiesta
5. Resolution No. 001 – KK ID
6. SK Monthly Recognition
7. Other Matters (RAAM 2026)

The SK Balete reaffirms its commitment to responsive leadership, transparency, and meaningful service, continuously working to empower the youth and strengthen the community.

𝐓𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡, 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡, 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 ✨

The 1𝙨𝙩 𝙆𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙥𝙪𝙣𝙖𝙣 𝙣𝙜 𝙆𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙖𝙣 (𝙆𝙆) 𝘼𝙨𝙨𝙚𝙢𝙗𝙡𝙮 𝙛𝙤𝙧 CY 2026 was successfully held on January 24, bringing together active and empowered youth from the different sitios of Barangay Balete. The assembly marked a strong start to the year, united by participation, learning, and shared purpose.

The program opened with an inspiring talk on “𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙍𝙤𝙡𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝙞𝙣 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝘽𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜” led by 𝙈𝙧. 𝙉𝙚𝙡𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙝 𝙈𝙖𝙜𝙗𝙖𝙣𝙪𝙖, 𝙇𝙤𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝘿𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙥𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙊𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙧. His discussion emphasized civic responsibility, youth participation, and the vital role young people play in shaping the future of the community.

This was followed by an engaging session on 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙇𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥 delivered by 𝙃𝙤𝙣. 𝙂𝙤𝙙𝙬𝙞𝙣 𝙃𝙖𝙧𝙤𝙡𝙙 𝙇𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙤, 𝙎𝙆 𝙁𝙚𝙙𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙇𝙖𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙡, 𝘽𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙖𝙨, who shared his experiences and insights on leading with integrity, service, and compassion.

Moreover, the assembly also featured the orientation of the 𝙆𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙥𝙪𝙣𝙖𝙣 𝙣𝙜 𝙆𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙩𝙖𝙖𝙣 𝙄𝘿 (𝙆𝙆 𝙄𝘿), explained by the project’s pioneer, 𝙃𝙤𝙣. 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙣 𝘽𝙖𝙜𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙎𝙆 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙞𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝘽𝙧𝙜𝙮. 𝘽𝙤𝙡𝙗𝙤𝙠. He discussed the importance, benefits, and perks of the KK ID, encouraging the youth to register and take part in programs designed for them.

Furthermore, the event marked the commencement of the 𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙣𝙚𝙬 𝙨𝙚𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙎𝘼𝙆𝙏𝙊 𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙧𝙨, providing a platform for inspired and capable youth to step forward, lead, and serve their fellow kabataan.

Beyond learning, the event was filled with fun and connection—raffle prizes, free lunch packs, snacks, and street food, plus a free photo booth that captured memories and smiles from every attendee.

The SK Balete extends its heartfelt gratitude to all the guests, resource speakers, partners and sponsors, who helped make this event possible—and most especially to the youth of Balete, whose energy and participation made the assembly truly meaningful.

The KK of Balete enjoyed, learned, and showed once again that when the youth come together, great things happen. 💙✨
