𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: The 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘂𝗯 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁 - 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗴 (𝗡𝗦𝗦𝗨-𝗦𝗧𝗟) successfully conducted a comprehensive Basic Life Support (BLS) Training for the personnel of the 𝑪𝒐𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝑮𝒖𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝑫𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒕 𝑺𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒏 𝑻𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒍𝒐𝒈 (𝑯𝑪𝑮𝑫𝑺𝑻𝑳) 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑷𝒉𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒑𝒑𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝑮𝒖𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝑨𝒖𝒙𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒂𝒓𝒚 (𝑷𝑪𝑮𝑨) from 𝟐𝟎-𝟐𝟏 𝑱𝒖𝒏𝒆 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔.

As frontline guardians of health and safety, the 𝑵𝑺𝑺𝑼-𝑺𝑻𝑳 instructional team led intensive, hands-on sessions focusing on 𝙝𝙞𝙜𝙝-𝙦𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙞𝙤𝙥𝙪𝙡𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙪𝙨𝙘𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 (𝘾𝙋𝙍), 𝘼𝙪𝙩𝙤𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙀𝙭𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝘿𝙚𝙛𝙞𝙗𝙧𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙤𝙧 (𝘼𝙀𝘿) 𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙯𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, and 𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙞𝙜𝙣 𝙗𝙤𝙙𝙮 𝙖𝙞𝙧𝙬𝙖𝙮 𝙤𝙗𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩.

By equipping both our regular force and auxiliary partners with these critical, life-saving competencies, 𝙉𝙎𝙎𝙐-𝙎𝙏𝙇 continues to strengthen the district’s operational readiness and medical first-response capabilities.

Recognizing that effective lifesaving requires more than swimming proficiency, 𝑵𝑺𝑺𝑼-𝑺𝑻𝑳 instructors and medical personnel equipped participants with essential emergency response skills necessary for managing emergencies. The training focused on the proper application of 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗟𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘀, including 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡-𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐨𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐂𝐏𝐑).

Through practical exercises and realistic training scenarios, participants developed the competence and confidence needed to respond effectively under pressure while adhering to established medical protocols. The course emphasized the importance of maintaining composure, coordination, and readiness during medical emergencies.

By strengthening the emergency response capabilities of lifeguard personnel, NSSU-STL remains committed to enhancing operational preparedness and ensuring that trained responders are equipped to provide timely and effective lifesaving interventions when needed.

𝐈𝐂𝐘𝐌𝐈: The 𝐍𝐒𝐒𝐔-𝐒𝐓𝐋 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐄𝐃𝐒-𝐒𝐓𝐋 successfully rolled out a 𝑯𝒆𝒑𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒔 𝑩 𝑽𝒂𝒄𝒄𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑫𝒓𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒄𝒂𝒎𝒑𝒂𝒊𝒈𝒏 for CGDSTL personnel. This collaborative effort with the 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐬 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 ensures our frontline responders remain healthy, protected, and operationally ready.

𝕃𝕆𝕆𝕂: The 𝐍𝐒𝐒𝐔-𝐒𝐓𝐋 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐄𝐃𝐒-𝐒𝐓𝐋 conducted a 𝑯𝒆𝒑𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒔 𝑩 𝑽𝒂𝒄𝒄𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒕𝒚 today, 𝟏𝟔 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐚𝐭 𝐇𝐂𝐆𝐃𝐒𝐓𝐋 𝐁𝐫𝐠𝐲 𝐒𝐭𝐚 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐚, 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐬 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲. The activity commenced with an informative lecture on Hepatitis B, enhancing awareness on its transmission, prevention and importance of immunization.

The activity was graced by 𝑫𝒓. 𝑪𝒉𝒓𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒂𝒏 𝑨𝒓𝒏𝒆 𝑻𝒐𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒆𝒐, 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒍 𝑨𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒛𝒂, 𝑹𝑴 𝑱𝒖𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒐 𝑽𝒆𝒓𝒈𝒂𝒓𝒂, 𝑹𝑵 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑱𝒆𝒃𝒆𝒍 𝑹𝒊𝒂 𝑮𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒔𝒐, 𝑹𝑵 whose presence highlighted the significance of preventive healthcare and sustaining the welfare of frontline responders and uniformed personnel.

A total of 𝟏𝟏𝟑 𝐂𝐆𝐃𝐒𝐓𝐋 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐥 received the Hepatitis B vaccine during the activity. Through this initiative, CGDSTL continues to uphold the health, safety, and operational readiness of its personnel, ensuring they remain resilient and mission ready in service to the community and the nation.
