CYBERSECURITY AWARENESS MONTH 2026 | DIGITAL RESILIENCE IS DISASTER PREPAREDNESS

Manatiling ligtas, manatiling hydrated, Bautistanians!

GOODBYE, HABAGAT!

A gradual shift in the prevailing weather pattern has been observed over the past several days, marked by the strengthening of the high-pressure system over East Asia, the southward migration of the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), and the weakening of the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat.

With these conditions expected to persist in the coming days, the Habagat season has officially ended.

Nevertheless, the MDRRMO Bautista reminds everyone to remain weather-ready. Other weather systems may still bring rainfall and thunderstorms, especially during the transition to the northeast monsoon season.

📌 Stay informed. Stay prepared. Stay safe, Bautistanians!

𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗟 𝗜𝗖𝗦 𝗦𝗨𝗠𝗠𝗜𝗧 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 | 𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟬 𝗧𝗢 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

One of the meaningful parts of the 2026 National ICS Summit was the ICS Refresher, which brought together DRRM practitioners, responders, trainers, and cadres to revisit the fundamentals and strengthen our shared understanding of the Incident Command System.

During the refresher, the United States Forest Service (USFS) also took us back to the early years of ICS development and training in the Philippines in 2010.

Sixteen years later, in 2026, many of those who have been part of the journey had the opportunity to meet again—reconnect, share experiences, and reflect on how ICS has continued to evolve in the Philippines.

The Bautista MDRRMO is grateful to the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) for the opportunity for one of its members to participate as part of the Region 1 delegation.

As one of the pioneer ICS cadres in Region 1, being part of this gathering was a meaningful reminder that the work continues—from the early days of ICS in the Philippines to the stronger and more coordinated emergency management system we continue to build today.

2010 → 2026. The journey continues.

One System. One Language. One Coordinated Response.

Bautista Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) participates in the National Incident Command System (ICS) Summit 2026 on October 1–2, 2026 at The Heritage Hotel Manila, as part of the Region 1 Delegation.

As a pioneer participant from Bautista in the National ICS Summit, this opportunity provides valuable exposure to national practices, operational experiences, and emerging approaches in Incident Command System implementation.

The Bautista MDRRMO expresses its sincere appreciation to Municipal Mayor Hon. Rosemarie G. Gacutan for her support and encouragement that made this participation possible. Her support reflects the LGU’s commitment to strengthening the competencies, preparedness, and response capabilities of its disaster management personnel.

From learning to application—strengthening ICS today for a more coordinated and effective disaster response tomorrow.
