Last Sunday, October 18, 2026, we successfully convened our 2nd Semester General Assembly, bringing together members of our community for an afternoon of meaningful discussions, updates, and collective reflection.

More than just a gathering, the General Assembly served as an avenue to strengthen transparency and accountability, present accomplishments and ongoing initiatives, discuss matters concerning our community, and provide our constituents with the opportunity to voice their thoughts, concerns, and recommendations.

As we move forward into the remaining months of the year, we remain committed to listening, serving, and working hand in hand with our constituents toward meaningful and sustainable community development.

Atong hisgotan ug ipahibalo ang report sa panalapi, mga nahimong kalampusan, ug mga proyekto sa barangay isip pagpalig-on sa transparency ug pagkamay-tulubagon sa pagdumala.

WEEK 2 OF PROJECT NUMERACY IN BARANGAY PUNTA! 📖📚

This is a project of the City Government of Baybay named "Project NUMERACY", a flagship initiative focused on strengthening the numeracy skills and mathematical foundations of our young learners.

Through the collaborative efforts of the LGU Baybay, Baybay City Department of Education (DepEd), City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWD), Barangay Government, and Sangguniang Kabataan, Project NUMERACY brings learning support closer to our children and creates opportunities for them to build confidence in mathematics.

The Barangay Council of Barangay Punta headed by Hon. Virgilio Dodo Plaza proudly supports initiatives that invest in our young people and help equip them with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive, in strong partnership with Punta SK, Punta ES, and Punta NHS. Together, let us nurture learners who are not only capable in numbers, but also confident, curious, and ready to learn.

Bawat Barangay Makikinabang (BBM) Scholarship Program

The Barangay Punta is pleased to support our young constituents through the Bawat Barangay Makikinabang (BBM) Program, particularly its scholarship component for deserving incoming fourth-year college students.

Under the program, selected beneficiaries will receive ₱20,000.00 in educational assistance to help defray essential academic expenses and, most importantly, support them in completing their college education.

This assistance serves as a “finisher fund” for students who are already nearing the completion of their degree but may still face financial challenges along the way. It may be used for education-related expenses such as tuition and school fees, school supplies, transportation, meals, and other necessary academic needs.

More than financial assistance, this program is an investment in the dreams, potential, and future of our youth. We believe that when we help a young person cross the finish line of their education, we also help build a stronger family, a more empowered community, and a brighter future for Barangay Punta.

To our scholars, may this assistance help ease your burdens as you take the final steps toward your dreams. Padayon sa pag-eswekla, Kabataang Puntahanon! Your community believes in you. 🤍📚
