Calling all interested RFPs! The Department of Fisheries, Faculty of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences of Visayas State University Tolosa is happy to announce its second Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Training on May 21–23, 2026, via Zoom application through its 𝐅𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐊𝐰𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐡𝐚𝐧: 𝐀 𝐂𝐏𝐃 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐅𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐬.

The training activity entitled, “𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐈𝐁𝐋𝐄 𝐅𝐈𝐒𝐇𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒 𝐓𝐇𝐑𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇 𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐒 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐈𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐕𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍𝐒 𝐎𝐅 𝐅𝐈𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐆𝐄𝐀𝐑 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐏𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐄𝐒 𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐏𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐏𝐏𝐈𝐍𝐄𝐒,” will be held for three days and aims to enhance the knowledge, skills, and awareness of fisheries professionals on sustainable and responsible fishing practices.

DFish-FFAS of VSU Tolosa, as an accredited provider of the Professional Regulation Commission, is happy to announce that the Council of Fisheries has approved the program, crediting all registered participants with 𝐚 𝐦𝐚𝐱𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐦 𝐨𝐟 𝟖 𝐂𝐏𝐃 𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐬.

Our 1,953 undergraduate and graduate honor students were recognized yesterday, May 13, 2026, during the Honors and Awards Convocation Program 2026 held at the VSU Gymnatorium for their dedication, resilience, and commitment throughout their academic journey as Viscans.

Adding inspiration to the celebration, we were very glad to have with us VSU alumnus and fellow Dr. Rolly G. Fuentes, Professor and Chairman of the Division of Natural Resources and Mathematics at UP Tacloban College, who served as the guest speaker and shared words of encouragement to the awardees as they continue their journey toward excellence.

Congratulations to all our honor students for bringing pride and honor to the entire VSU community!

Aspiring , out of the 12,348 total examinees who took the VSU College Admission Test, 6,593 applicants across the entire VSU System successfully made it as passers.
