𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵!

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐛𝐚𝐲 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 successfully conducted the Workshop on Writing a Research Proposal in Curriculum, Pedagogy, and Governance on March 13, 18, and 21, 2026—an initiative aimed at strengthening the research capabilities of both teaching and non-teaching personnel.

This meaningful undertaking was made possible through the strong partnership with the 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐄𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 (𝐕𝐒𝐔). The Division extends its heartfelt gratitude to our esteemed learning facilitators—Dr. Bayron S. Barredo, Dr. Joel Q. Mabalhin, Mr. Joy A. Bellen, Mr. Helmar A. Ycong, and Mr. Jose Celso Perez Jr.—for their invaluable expertise and guidance in helping participants craft relevant and impactful research proposals.

Through this collaborative effort, participants were empowered to translate ideas into research-based solutions that will further enhance curriculum, pedagogy, and governance practices in our schools.

Indeed, research continues to be a vital tool in driving innovation and informed decision-making in education.

In celebration of National Women’s Month, the personnel of SDO Baybay came together in a vibrant display of unity, strength, and support through the “Sayaw Para Kay Juana” Zumba Activity.

With energy, smiles, and empowering moves, participants danced not only for fitness but also in solidarity with the advocacy of gender equality and women empowerment. The activity served as a refreshing break from daily work routines while promoting wellness, camaraderie, and inclusivity among all participants.

Adding excitement to the event, special awards were also given to recognize outstanding participants who showcased enthusiasm, creativity, and spirit throughout the activity.

Indeed, this celebration reminds us that empowering women goes hand in hand with building a healthy, active, and united community.

This prestigious competition brought together top students from the region, and Mark’s outstanding performance—achieved despite limited preparation time—reflects his dedication, perseverance, and passion for mathematics.

𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐰 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐄𝐝-𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲! 🎓✨

Beginning Teachers from Baybay 1 to Baybay 10 successfully completed the 2nd Completion Rites for the Induction Program for Beginning Teachers (IPBT) held on March 12–13, 2026, after passing the validation of their coursebooks with the guidance and support of their dedicated mentors.

The program is implemented by the Human Resource Development Section (HRDS) through PROJECT SIBOL (Strengthening Individuals, Building Organizational Legacy)—an initiative inspired by Project RAISE that aims to nurture and strengthen the professional growth of newly hired teachers in the Schools Division of Baybay. The program is led by Mr. Jasper Paul A. Ycoy, SEPS, together with EPS II Designate Mr. Romeo N. Sonior Jr. and Miss Mariel A. Itlanas, who continuously work to ensure that beginning teachers receive the support and guidance they need in their early years in the profession.

The IPBT serves as a meaningful avenue for newly hired teachers to grow professionally while fostering meaningful kamustahan, collaboration, and reflection among educators who are beginning their journey in the teaching profession.

A highlight of the Exit Conference was the Torchbearer’s Talk and Dialogue, featuring inspiring messages and insightful conversations from our esteemed education leaders:
SDS Dr. Manuel P. Albaño, ASDS Dr. Josemilo P. Ruiz, SGOD Chief Dr. Ritchel Marie B. Villamor, and EPS Dr. Liwayway N. Lumanta.

Adding wisdom and inspiration to the dialogue were the mentors from Villa ES and Baybay NHS, Ma’am Rosa Maria D. Cagabhion and Ma’am Emerita U. Bastasa, whose experiences and guidance continue to shape and inspire our beginning teachers.

Learners from Baybay City Senior High School brought pride to the Schools Division of Baybay after winning multiple prestigious awards in the Mathematics and Computational Sciences Team Category during the National Science and Technology Fair (NSTF) 2026 held at the Great Eastern Hotel, Quezon City.

Their research project titled:

In addition, their study is the only Mathematics and Computational Sciences research included in the Top 8 projects that will represent the Philippines in the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) in Phoenix, Arizona this May 2026.
