Revitalized COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign launched in Albay, July 26,2022

The Provincial Government of Albay thru Albay Provincial Health Office in partnership with The Department of Health Bicol Center for Health Development (DOH Bicol CHD) held the launching for the revitalized government campaign for COVID-19 vaccination, July 26, 2022 at Daraga North Central School in Daraga, Albay.

The campaign, dubbed as “PINASLAKAS”, introduced the COVID-19 vaccination targets of the administration’s first 100 days.

Albay Gov. Noel E. Rosal through Provincial Health Officer Nathaniel Rempillo has encouraged every Albayano to avail of the vaccination program and for those given the vaccines to get the booster shots for complete protection and immunity from the deadly virus.

The launching was attended by Representatives from the regional offices of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), the Department of Education (DepEd), the Philippine Information Agency, UNICEF, and Relief International. Mayor Carlwyn Baldo of the municipality of Daraga led the health team of the said LGU.

July 20, 2022 - Engr. Bernardo G. Bersola - UNICEF representative, visited the Cold Room storage facility in Ligao City. COVAX-UNICEF donated the Walk-In Chiller to the Provincial Government of Albay.

Governor Noel Rosal expressed his full support to the establishment of the walk-in cold storage and instructed the Provincial Engineer's Office to facilitate the installation.

The availability of the Cold Room will ensure the safe storage of vaccines and will prepare the province for future emergency due to emerging and re-emerging diseases with outbreak potential.
