The 2nd Quarter Joint Meeting of the LCPC, MCAT-VAWC, and Municipal Convergence Committee (MCC) presided by the Local Chief Executive Hon. John Felix L. Garcia, JD was conducted on June 25, 2026, fostering stronger coordination in the implementation of programs and initiatives for child protection, prevention of violence and trafficking, and community-driven social protection programs, including Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, SLP, Supplementary Feeding, Walang Gutom, and KALAHI-CIDSS.

🌿 Mental Health, Psychosocial Support & Self-Care 🌿

It was a pleasure and privilege to share my knowledge and experience on Mental Health, Psychosocial Support, and Self-Care with the dedicated teachers of President Carlos P. Garcia Technical Vocational School of Fisheries and Arts Puerto San Pedro, Bien Unido, Bohol.

As educators, teachers carry not only the responsibility of teaching minds but also the important role of supporting the well-being of their learners. Taking care of one’s own mental and emotional health is equally important.

Thank you for the opportunity to be part of your meaningful activity. I am grateful to share what I know, learn from your experiences, and contribute in my own little way toward building a healthier, more resilient, and supportive school community. 💚

This National Su***de Prevention Awareness Month, the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of Bien Unido joins the call to raise awareness, break the silence, and promote compassion and understanding for individuals who may be struggling emotionally.

Sometimes, a simple “Kumusta ka?”, a listening ear, or a kind word can make a difference. Let us create a community where people feel safe to speak, seek help, and be heard without judgment.

Let us watch over one another and remind those who are struggling that asking for help is not a weakness. It is an act of courage.

UPLIFT UNPAID/UNCLAIMED ASSISTANCE PAYOUT

To all UPLIFT beneficiaries with unpaid or unclaimed assistance, please be informed that a special payout schedule will be conducted on:

📅 Date: September 2, 2026 (Wednesday)
📍 Venue: Trinidad Cultural Center, Trinidad, Bohol

Beneficiaries are advised to personally appear and bring the complete and required documentary requirements for verification and processing of the assistance.

Please bring:

- Valid Government-issued ID
2 photocopies of 1 valid id
- Other documentary requirements previously requested by the program

IMPORTANT: Only beneficiaries with unpaid or unclaimed UPLIFT assistance are requested to attend.

For proper guidance and smooth processing, please come on time and ensure that all required documents are complete.

A Commitment to Protect Every Child

As part of the preparation for the upcoming Sub-Congressional Athletic Meet, the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) reminded everyone that the event is not only about sports, competition, or winning—it is also about protecting the children entrusted to our care.

Every officiating official, trainer, coach, teacher, and support staff shares the responsibility to ensure that every child is safe and free from abuse, bullying, discrimination, exploitation, and all forms of violence.

The Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) Chairman, Hon. John Felix L. Garcia, JD, led the Pledge of Commitment and Signing, joined by the District Supervisors from Bien Unido, Ubay, and Carlos P. Garcia (CPG).

This commitment is a collective promise to create a sporting environment where every child can participate, compete, and enjoy sports with dignity, safety, protection, and respect.

Because every victory matters—but the safety and well-being of every child matter most. 🏆💙
