YOUR FUTURE STARTS WITH THE CHOICES YOU MAKE TODAY!

Parayao National High School welcomed the Provincial Pangasinan Public Employment Service Office (PESO) on September 24, 2026, as it reached out to the school to conduct a Career Guidance Program for Grade 12 learners. The activity was facilitated by Via Cresselle Oamil, PESO Administrative Aide.

Recognizing the importance of helping learners prepare for life after senior high school, the school gladly accommodated the program. The session provided learners with valuable insights as they consider their next steps, whether in higher education, employment, technical-vocational training, or other career pathways.

For our Grade 12 learners, every choice today can help shape the opportunities of tomorrow.

Dream with purpose. Prepare with confidence. Choose your path with courage.

KNOW WHAT TO DO. STAY ALERT. KEEP EACH OTHER SAFE.

Parayao National High School strengthened its commitment to the safety and well-being of its learners and personnel through an Orientation on Active Threat and Shooting Incident held on September 23, 2026, providing participants with important knowledge on emergency response, prevention, and responsible actions during critical situations.

The orientation brought together resource speakers from the Rural Health Unit (RHU) Binmaley, Municipal Social Welfare and Development (MSWD), and Binmaley Philippine National Police (PNP) who shared practical insights that can help learners and school personnel respond appropriately to different safety concerns.

Roverick Pacheco, RN, from RHU Binmaley discussed “How to Manage Gunshot Wound,” providing participants with essential information on appropriate initial responses to gunshot injuries while emphasizing the importance of seeking immediate professional medical assistance during emergencies.

Christian S. Carani, RSW, from MSWD discussed “How to Assess Student with Personal Problem.” The session emphasized the importance of recognizing signs that a learner may be experiencing personal difficulties and responding with empathy, proper assessment, and appropriate referral to qualified professionals.

PMSG Liza S. Desola of Binmaley PNP discussed “Responsible Use of Social Media,” reminding participants that online actions carry real-world consequences. The discussion highlighted responsible sharing, respect for others, protection of personal information, and the importance of thinking carefully before posting or sharing content.

PCPL Earl Michael G. Decpano of Binmaley PNP tackled “Anti-Bullying,” emphasizing the shared responsibility of learners and adults in preventing bullying, promoting respect, and creating a school environment where everyone feels safe and valued.

The final session was led by PLTCOL Lister A. Saygo of Binmaley PNP, who discussed “Response to Active Shooting Incident.” The session focused on the importance of preparedness, awareness, calm decision-making, and following established safety procedures during an active shooting emergency.

The orientation reinforced an important message: school safety is a shared responsibility. Preparedness is not about expecting the worst, but about ensuring that learners and personnel have the knowledge and awareness to respond appropriately when faced with an emergency.

As members of the Parayao NHS community, let us continue to stay informed, remain vigilant, speak up about safety concerns, practice responsible behavior, and look out for one another.

Safety begins with awareness. Preparedness begins with learning. Together, let us help keep Parayao NHS a safe and caring community for everyone.

DAY 2 OF GAD TRAINING 2026–2027: EMPOWERING ALL, EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL!

September 19, 2026 | Avelino Resort and Hotel, Basista, Pangasinan

Continuing the journey toward a more inclusive and gender-responsive workplace, Parayao National High School successfully conducted Day 2 of the GAD Training 2026–2027 with the theme:
“Empowering All, Equal Opportunities for All: Building a Gender-Responsive School Community”

The second day brought together meaningful discussions, collaborative activities, and opportunities for participants to reflect on how gender responsiveness can be strengthened in the school and workplace.

The day began with the Management of Learning facilitated by Miss Jenelle M. De Vera, which was anchored on the key concepts and insights discussed during Day 1 of the training. The activity gave participants an opportunity to process their previous learning, share reflections, and connect the discussions with their experiences and responsibilities as members of the school community.

Team-building activities were also conducted to strengthen camaraderie and collaboration among participants. Beyond the fun and excitement, the activities provided opportunities to develop communication, trust, cooperation, problem-solving, and teamwork. These are essential qualities in the workplace, where personnel work together toward common goals and respond collectively to the needs of learners and the school community.
The activities also reinforced the importance of building a workplace where everyone feels respected, valued, supported, and empowered to contribute.

The first speaker was Mr. Jonathan S. Bustarde, Teacher VI from Balangay National High School, who discussed SOGIESC, Human Rights and Inclusion.

The session provided participants with a deeper understanding of S*xual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression, and S*x Characteristics (SOGIESC) and their connection to human rights and inclusion. It emphasized the importance of respecting the dignity and rights of every individual and creating safe and inclusive spaces where people are treated fairly and without discrimination.

The second speaker was Mr. Frankou S. Germono, Head Teacher III from Balangay National High School, who discussed Gender-Responsive Education and Gender Sensitivity.

The session highlighted the role of educators in recognizing gender-related biases, stereotypes, and barriers that may affect learners and personnel. It encouraged participants to apply gender-sensitive approaches in teaching, decision-making, communication, and everyday school practices to promote equal opportunities and a more inclusive learning environment.

After the learning sessions, participants enjoyed a recreational game of Pickleball before heading home. The activity provided a refreshing way to unwind, strengthen relationships, and celebrate the camaraderie built throughout the day.

Day 2 reminded everyone that building a gender-responsive school community goes beyond understanding concepts. It calls for respect, inclusion, equality, collaboration, and meaningful action in our everyday work.

Together, let us continue building a school community where everyone is respected, everyone is included, and everyone is given equal opportunities to grow and succeed.

When challenges arise, the spirit of bayanihan shines even brighter at Parayao National High School.

The school community extends its heartfelt gratitude to our very kind and generous stakeholders who shared their resources in support of the school’s initiative to landfill flood-prone areas of the school grounds and help alleviate flooding. Every contribution, big or small, is a meaningful step toward creating a safer and more accessible school environment for our learners and personnel.

This initiative is being carried out through the leadership of our School Principal, Dr. Sol S. Prado, and Assistant Principal, Mrs. Belen Veronica R. Urmaza, whose efforts continue to bring the school community together in responding to the challenges brought by the recent flooding.

Our heartfelt thanks to our generous donors:

GAD Training Kicks Off with Focus on Competency, Commitment, and Professional Growth

BINMALEY, PANGASINAN — September 18, 2026. Parayao National High School officially launched its 2026 School-Based Gender and Development (GAD) Training and Team Building Activities today at the Parayao National High School Covered Court, carrying the theme, “Empowering All, Equal Opportunities for All: Building a Gender-Responsive School Community.”

A major highlight of Day 1 was an insightful session led by Dr. Alfonso S. Dangat, Public Schools District Supervisor of the Urbiztondo District, who discussed “Understanding Competency, Commitment, and Work Habits of a Highly Effective Teacher/Employee.”

Dr. Dangat emphasized that effectiveness in the workplace goes beyond technical competence. It also requires commitment, professionalism, accountability, a positive attitude, continuous learning, and the ability to work collaboratively with others.

During his presentation, he highlighted ten essential work habits that contribute to workplace effectiveness: punctuality and regular attendance; maintaining a clean and organized work area; taking directions well; keeping the desired outcome in mind; admitting mistakes and taking responsibility; maintaining a positive disposition; presenting constructive ideas; taking advantage of training opportunities; coaching and supporting colleagues; and working effectively as part of a team.

He encouraged teachers and employees to reflect on their daily practices and recognize how small, consistent habits can strengthen productivity, professionalism, and teamwork. He likewise underscored the importance of continuous professional growth and a positive workplace environment in delivering quality service to learners and the school community.

The session also complemented the objectives of GAD by emphasizing the value of a workplace where every individual is respected, valued, supported, and provided with equal opportunities to contribute and grow.

The activity was led by Dr. Sol A. Prado, School Principal, with the support of Mrs. Belen Veronica R. Urmaza, Assistant School Principal. The training was coordinated by Mr. Juvee B. Aquino, School GAD Coordinator, who facilitated the implementation of the school-based GAD activities.

Day 1 provided the teaching and non-teaching personnel with an opportunity to strengthen their understanding of effective workplace practices while reflecting on their shared responsibility in building a gender-responsive, inclusive, collaborative, and empowering school community.

As the GAD Training and Team Building Activities continue, Parayao National High School remains committed to fostering a culture where competence is strengthened by commitment, excellence is nurtured through teamwork, and equal opportunities are accessible to all.
