Bilang pagtupad sa mga kahilingan ng Batas Republika Blg. 7192 o “Women in Development and Nation-Building Act” at pagtupad sa tungkulin pangpamana, inihahandog ng Panlalawigang Tanggapan ng Turismo at Kultura (PTCO) ang “𝗞𝗮𝗯𝘂𝗵𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻, 𝗞𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻, 𝗮𝘁 𝗞𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮: 𝗜𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗵𝘂𝗵𝘂𝗯𝗼𝗴 𝘀𝗮 𝗺𝗴𝗮 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘆𝘂𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗻𝗮 𝗚𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗴-𝗞𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘆 𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗾𝘂𝗲.” Isang programa sa ilalim ng Gender and Development Program (GAD) na Conference on Women’s Empowerment for Tourism Industry Employees, naglalayon itong pag-ibayuhin ang karapatan at bigyan ng oportunidad ang iba’t ibang kasarian, lalo na ang mga kababaihan, at, sa parehong pagkakataon, pagyamanin at panatilihing buhay ang sining at kultura ng lalawigan ng Marinduque.

Sa pamamagitan ng pagkasangkapan sa mga tradisyunal na sining at pamana ng Marinduque at sa tulong ng ating mga tagapagsanay at Cultural Bearers, ituturo sa gawaing ito ang kaalaman at kasanayan sa apat na gawaing-kamay na mayroon sa isla: 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗴𝗮𝘄𝗮 𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲 𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗸𝗹𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗼𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻 𝗻𝗶 𝗚𝗻𝗴. Inaasahan sa programang ito na maipapasa ang dunong sa taal na kalinangan ng Marinduque na magagamit sa pagkakaroon ng kabuhayan at magbibigay ng bagong simula sa maraming indibidwal.

JUST IN I DTI Marinduque led by PD Roniel M. Macatol, PhD and CTIDS Mark Dennis B. Cortez joins the DTI MIMAROPA 3rd Coco Colloquium and Techno Forum, bringing together a dynamic delegation of coconut MSMEs, cooperatives and academe from Marinduque.

The delegation underscores the province’s commitment to strengthening the coconut industry through technology, innovation, value-adding, enterprise development, and collaboration, while creating greater opportunities for coconut farmers and local enterprises.

August 20, 2026 | The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Marinduque, through Negosyo Center Boac, in partnership with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of Boac, conducted the Empowering PWDs through Fruit Preserve and Jam Product Development with Packaging and Labeling Enhancement on August 20, 2026, at Marinduque State University, Brgy. Tanza, Boac, Marinduque.

Through the dedication and valuable contributions of our trainers, Ms. Ceres Janet Malagotnot and Mr. Melgar M. Mabuti of the College of Industrial Technology, the participants significantly enhanced their skills and knowledge in fruit preserve and jam processing, including techniques for food preservation, packaging, labeling, and value addition.
