The Local Government Unit of Bobon has successfully completed the second cycle of rice distribution covering all 18 barangays from September 1 to 7, 2026.

The first cycle of the rice distribution began on July 23, 2026.

Mayor Reny A. Celespara expressed his gratitude to the National Government for the implementation of the Bawat Bayan Makikinabang Program.

A total of 8,467 Bobonanon families received 10 kls. of rice each through the second cycle of distribution.

The successful implementation was made possible through the support of Municipal Vice Mayor Hon. Ligaya T. Uy, the Sangguniang Bayan Members, MSWDO Maruja P. Esquillo, Planning Officer Ma. Darwisa Agda, and the dedicated LGU employees who worked together to ensure the smooth delivery of assistance across all 18 barangays.

Mayor Reny A. Celespara, convened a joint meeting of the Peace and Order Technical Working Group (POC TWG) and the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) Team.

The meeting discussed key peace and order concerns, strengthen inter-agency coordination to ensure a coordinated and responsive approach to issues affecting the safety and security of the community.

Among the concerns discussed were the recent robbery incidents involving a minor. The matter was taken up by the concerned authorities to address the incident, coordinate appropriate interventions, and strengthen preventive measures to ensure the safety and protection of the community.

The meeting also focused on the preparation of necessary documents and requirements for the upcoming National SGLG Assessment, including updates and coordination among concerned offices and agencies.

The Local Government Unit of Bobon, headed by Municipal Mayor Hon. Reny A. Celespara, proudly celebrates the Bobon District for emerging as the OVERALL CHAMPION at the Bibosalaro Athletic Association Meet 2026, held on September 7โ€“8 in Lavesarez, Northern Samar.

With an impressive haul of 59 Gold, 41 Silver, and 37 Bronze medals, Bobonโ€™s young athletes showcased discipline, determination, teamwork, and an unwavering fighting spirit that carried them to the top.

The Elementary Level secured 1st Place with 55 total medals, while the Secondary Level delivered a strong performance with 82 total medals, marking an outstanding achievement across both divisions.

From every game, every race, and every battle on the field, our athletes carried the name of Bobon with pride and gave their all until the final whistle.

The scoreboard tells the result. The athletes tell the story. And Bobon has once again shown that champions are built through hard work, courage, teamwork, and heart.

During the last day of the Rice Distribution under the Bawat Bayanโ€“Barangayโ€“Pamilya Makikinabang Program, Municipal Mayor Hon. Reny A. Celespara highlighted the continuing efforts of the Local Government Unit of Bobon to bring meaningful government programs and services closer to every Bobonanon family.

โ€œSa mga naglabay nga adlaw, gin-implementar san LGU Bobon an Bawat Bayanโ€“Barangayโ€“Pamilya Makikinabang Program,โ€ Mayor Celespara shared, emphasizing the LGUโ€™s commitment to ensuring that assistance reaches the homes of its people.

He also underscored the programs strengthened since his first term as Mayor, particularly in education. Through the Municipal Chain of Love Scholarship and various forms of support extended to elementary and secondary schools, the LGU continues to invest in the education and future of Bobonanons.

For the youth and those seeking livelihood opportunities, the LGU has also implemented the Livelihood Training Program, where participants receive a โ‚ฑ300 daily allowance while attending their training.

In the area of health, Mayor Celespara likewise highlighted the importance of bringing essential healthcare services closer to the community through PhilHealth/YAKAP registration and the LGUโ€™s Libre Bakuna program, helping make healthcare and preventive services more accessible to Bobonanons.

From food assistance and education to livelihood and healthcare, these programs embody a continuing commitment to make government felt where it matters mostโ€”in the homes, schools, communities, and everyday lives of the people of Bobon.
