The Magsaggaw ARB Cooperative (MARBC) received business development planning assistance from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR) Tawi-Tawi during a training conducted on October 3, 2026, in Barangay Magsaggaw, Panglima Sugala, Tawi-Tawi.
The training focused on the cooperativeโs organizational and business development, with MARBC members assessing their current situation, identifying priority areas, and discussing proposed activities for the cooperative.
The activity was initiated by CARPO Engr. Jimson Jalilul of the Agrarian Reform Division to assist MARBC in preparing a business development plan based on the priorities identified by its members.
SuARPO Nurulyn Laja emphasized the importance of active member participation in strengthening the cooperative and encouraged the members to work collectively in pursuing their identified priorities.
Sitti Kulsum Hairol, the trainingโs resource person, discussed business development planning with the participants and guided them as they worked on the plans they want to pursue for their cooperative.
MARBC members identified proposed activities, discussed the requirements for their implementation, and considered the support that may be needed to carry out their plans. The discussions helped the members determine the areas they want the cooperative to prioritize in its succeeding activities.
The members also expressed their commitment to participate in the cooperativeโs planned activities and strengthen their collective efforts in developing MARBC.
MAFAR Municipal Officer (MMO) Jainab Awali, together with (ARPT) Bahaya Aras, assisted in coordinating the activity and encouraged the members to strengthen their participation in the cooperativeโs programs and activities.
The business development plan developed during the training will guide MARBC in prioritizing its proposed activities and identifying the technical and other assistance it may require from MAFAR.
The Agrarian Reform Division continues to provide capacity-building activities and technical assistance to ARBOs to strengthen their organizational and business capabilities and support their plans for sustainable development.
