These photos were taken during the fish dispersal activity conducted by the Provincial Veterinary Office for the identified recipients. The list of beneficiaries was submitted by the Municipal Agriculturist Offices of the different municipalities, as well as by walk-in clients who visited the office to request fingerlings. This fish dispersal is implemented under the Integrated Sustainable Development for Aquatic and Fisheries Program, in support of the Barangay Muna Program of Provincial Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr.

The implementation of Enhanced Community Quarantine due to COVID 19 has an immense effect on the production of basic goods and agricultural products. The office thought of maximizing the ECQ by complementing the Free Range Chicken Raising project with vegetable gardening. This is basically solving the source of eggs, meat and vegetables in a single action.

The concept of the project is similar to the Survival Gardening project being implemented by the City of Baguio and the Food Always In The Home (FAITH) an old time vegetable gardening technology.

The project helps people from both urban and rural communities establish an all year round source of fresh vegetables. In a limited space, people can grow vegetables in containers and backyards. Manure from the chicken raising project will be their source of fertilizer.

The project would prepare everybody for food security in the coming months since our situation is not certain.
