๐พ๐๐๐๐ฝ๐๐ผ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ฝ๐ผ๐ ๐๐ผ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ | As part of the warm welcome for the delegation of the Asia Pacific Consortium of Researchers and Educators (APCORE), a Cultural Dinner Night themed โCelebrating Culture, Friendship, and Global Partnershipโ was hosted by Mountain Province State University (MPSU) President Dr. Edgar G. Cue and the MPSU community on May 29, 2026, at Basil and Lime in Samoki, Bontoc, Mountain Province. The gathering served as a meaningful occasion to foster camaraderie, cultural exchange, and stronger global connections among the delegates.
The evening featured lively performances from various international groups. Additionally, the Mountain Province State University Student Cultural Arts Group (MPSU-S**G) showcased the โpattong,โ a traditional Cordilleran dance that represents rhythm, unity, and cultural pride.
In a spirit of friendship, the APCORE delegation took part in the dance. With guidance from the S**G performers, they learned basic steps and rhythms, shared laughter over missteps, and celebrated culture together.
Their involvement represented not only friendship but also the consortiumโs dedication to welcoming cultural diversity and building global partnerships through shared experiences.

May 29, 2026 โ The Mountain Province State University (MPSU) and the Asia Pacific Consortium of Researchers and Educators (APCORE) officially strengthened their institutional ties through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) aimed at advancing academic collaboration, research cooperation, and cultural exchange at the university's Admin Conference Hall.
University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, in his message, underscored the significance of the partnership, emphasizing its long-term impact on institutional development and international engagement.
โThis collaboration serves to solidify the professional bond between our institutions and establish a framework for sustained cooperation in academic, research, and cultural initiatives," Cue stated.
The MOU signing marks another milestone in MPSUโs continuing efforts to strengthen its global partnerships and advance its role in international academic and research collaboration. #

University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue led the 34th Commencement Exercises of Mountain Province State UniversityโTadian, honoring a total of 195 graduates from the universityโs three colleges today, May 29, at the MPSU IPED Building in Tadian, Mountain Province.
The ceremony gathered graduates, parents, faculty members, university officials, and guests in celebration of the studentsโ academic achievements and perseverance throughout their years of study.
Serving as Guest of Honor was Secretary Mel Senen S. Sarmiento of the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity (OPAPRU), represented by Ms. Jessica Banganan-Assong, PDO V of the OPAPRUโRCPPO Baguio Field Office.
In his message, Secretary Sarmiento encouraged the graduates to uphold excellence, service, and unity as they begin their professional journeys and contribute to nation-building and community development.
โSo, I ask all of you, please use your education with purpose. Lead with integrity, serve with humility, and help protect our nationโs peace,โ Sarmiento concluded.
Of the 195 graduates, 78 completed their degrees under the College of Engineering, 50 graduated from the College of Agriculture and Forestry, while 67 finished their programs under the College of Teacher Education.
The commencement exercises marked another milestone for MPSUโTadian as it continues to provide quality higher education and strengthen its role in developing skilled graduates responsive to the needs of the region and the country.
