In celebration of NIA's 59th Founding Anniversary NIA Mountain Province joins the nationwide tree planting activity today under the National Greening Program (NGP) with the theme:

TREES. WATER. LIFE. 2022

To establish continuity of our rehabilitation and reforestation efforts as an agency, and to monitor the survival of the previously planted seedlings, we planted additional 100 Pine Tree, 50 Mahogany, and 23 Bugnay seedlings at the Maligcong Watershed.

To kick off our 59th Anniversary Celebration, NIA Mountain Province Satellite Office employees pose in shirts.

NIA@59: Conquering the Challenges of the New Normal

NIA-MPSO conducts 2nd batch of Orientation on Devolution of Communal Irrigation Systems (CISs) to Tadian LGU on April 26,2022 attended by Barangay Captains/Officials and concerned LGU Offices.

The NIA-MPSO representatives presented the Legal Basis of the Devolution, Implementation Strategy & Phasing Devolution Transition Activities, and the List of IAs and CISs to be devolved.

As part of RA 10969 (Free Irrigation Service Act) signed by our President Rodrigo Roa Duterte last February 2018, NIA MPSO Representative turned over the payment of incentives for operations subsidy for Dry Crop 2021 of Sunnyside Communal Irrigation System last February 2,2022. The said system is located at the five barangays of Tadian (Banaao, Cagubatan, Pandayan, Lenga and Dacudac), Mountain Province.

The amount goes to the fund of the Irrigators’ Association.

Irrigators’ Associations that signed into Irrigation Management Transfer (IMT) contract with the NIA are provided with an operations subsidy of P150 per hectare per season based on the validated list of irrigated and planted area.

NIA MPSO hosted Engr. Delfin B. Aglit's Pasasalamat & Mabuhay Party (Retirement Party) last January 14, 2022 with the theme:
"Gray hair is a crown of glory; it is obtained by following a righteous path. - Proverbs 16:31"

The said event was attended by employees from Kalinga IMO, ALPIP, the Regional Irrigation Office, and the family of Engr. DBA.

Engr. DBA served our farmers for 39 years.

NIA MPSO personnel paid a courtesy call to the Besao Municipal Mayor Hon. Johnson D. Bantog II, which took place at the Municipal Mayor's Office today, January 25.

The purpose of the the said call was to inform Mayor Bantog of the nine (9) CY 2022 projects in the Municipality of Besao.

Present during the visit were Engr. Milton D. Tawali, Project In Charge, and Ms. Gemma Rose B. Agwaking, Irrigator's Development Officer, both assigned in the municipality.

NIA- Mountain Province joins the nationwide NIA Synchronized Tree Planting Activity in celebration of the 58th NIA Anniversary.

In coordination with the DENR-PENRO, we were given 180 Dita seedlings, also known as Dalipawen in our local dialect, that were planted at the Maligcong forest reserve.
