Bontoc – Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr. administered the oath-taking of five newly promoted and appointed employees from various offices of the Provincial Government of Mountain Province at the Governor’s Mansion on June 2, 2026.

The ceremony was witnessed by Provincial Human Resource Management Officer Leonila Milagrose F. Malla-ao, Provincial Tourism Officer Angel O. Baybay, and Mountain Province Environment and Natural Resources Officer Atty. Raul Edan, who also reminded the employees of their duties and responsibilities as public servants.

She was accompanied by her father, Atty. Benny O. Bomogao, former Vice Governor Francis O. Tauli, and Provincial Tourism Officer Angel O. Baybay.

Governor Lacwasan conveyed his pride in Bomogao’s international achievements, highlighting how her success serves as an inspiration to young athletes across Mountain Province to pursue excellence and remain committed to their goals.

Earlier today, Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr. received the officials of Barangay Antadao, Sagada, Mountain Province, during a courtesy visit held at the Governor’s Mansion on June 1, 2026.

The visit was led by Punong Barangay Julia Domling, together with Barangay Kagawads Julia Cawayan, Alfonso Angawa Sr., Mary Masegman, Mildred Lumiwes, Murray Manawas, Ronnie Losente, and Valentin Batay-an.

The courtesy call served as an opportunity to strengthen coordination and discuss matters concerning the barangay and provincial government initiatives.

Staff from the Mountain Province Provincial Police Office paid a courtesy call to Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan Jr. at the Governor’s Mansion on June 1, 2026.

The visit was led by Police Major Gregorio Kiwalan, together with Police Chief Master Sergeant Genevieve Joy P. Fakat and Police Chief Master Sergeant Bryan Dulay.

The courtesy call focused on updates on the current peace and order situation in the province and strengthened coordination between the Philippine National Police and the Provincial Government in maintaining public safety and security.

The Municipal Local Government Unit (LGU) of Santol, La Union paid a courtesy call to Bonifacio C. Lacwasan Jr. at the Governor’s Mansion on June 1, 2026.

The delegation from Santol was led by Vice Mayor Jojo O. Ominga, together with Sangguniang Bayan Members Rodel O. Millares, Claudio D. Gallos Jr., Roxanne M. Dangle-Arquero, Edward A. Wailan, Bernard M. Pepe, Ramil A. Sansano, Olympio O. Millares, Randy A. Balanon, Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representative (IPMR) Jerry B. Pecua, SK Federation President Arjay A. Ragmac, Sangguniang Bayan Secretary Erlinda N. Arellano, and other LGU staff. They were accompanied by IPMR Tomas Tawagen.

The visit aimed to strengthen inter-LGU collaboration and conduct benchmarking and research on the traditional attire and cultural expressions of the indigenous ethnolinguistic groups of Mountain Province.

The exchange underscored Santol LGU’s commitment to cultural preservation and learning from best practices in indigenous heritage conservation within the Cordillera region.

The visiting officials came from Barangay Kaleo, Barlig; Barangay Maligcong and Barangay Caluttit, Bontoc; Barangay Betwagan, Sadanga; and Barangay Sadsadan, Bauko.

Present during the courtesy call were Barangay Kaleo Punong Barangay Siano Fiayongan; Barangay Maligcong Punong Barangay Basilio Anengyao; Barangay Caluttit Kagawad Montana F. Gasmeña, Aurelio Caesar Cariño, SK Chairperson Jave Anthony A. Governor Bonifacio C. Lacwasan Jr. welcomed officials from Barangay Busa, Sabangan, Mountain Province during a courtesy visit at the Governor’s Mansion on June 1, 2026.

The delegation was led by Punong Barangay Junifer Dumpayan, together with Barangay Kagawad Erlinda Magastino and Kate Rafael.

The visit served as an initial coordination meeting to discuss and explore potential “Barangay Muna” initiatives and future development projects for the community of Barangay Busa in partnership with the Provincial Government under the leadership of Bonifacio C. Lacwasan Jr..

Earlier today, Miss Universe Philippines – Mountain Province Lyneree Wly Montero Yodong paid a courtesy call to Bonifacio C. Lacwasan Jr. at the Governor’s Mansion in Poblacion, Bontoc, Mountain Province, on June 1, 2026.

Yodong was accompanied by her family during the visit and expressed her gratitude for the support extended by the Provincial Governor and the entire Provincial Government of Mountain Province throughout her journey in the national pageant.

Governor Lacwasan congratulated her and expressed appreciation for her exemplary performance, noting her achievement as the first Miss Universe Philippines representative from Mountain Province.

“You have brought pride to our province, and may you continue to be an inspiration to all, especially through your advocacy, which has become your life’s work. Matago-tago ka, Lyneree,” Lacwasan said.
