4-Day CMAS Advanced and Open Water Diving Training Successfully Conducted!

LGU Bontoc successfully completed the 4-Day CMAS Advanced and Open Water Diving Training with active participation from MDRRMO, Tourism Office, MENRO, MAGSO, and dedicated volunteers.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the Provincial Government of Southern Leyte for granting LGU Bontoc this valuable training opportunity. Your support continues to strengthen our local capabilities in disaster response, environmental protection, and coastal management.

Our heartfelt appreciation as well to Mayor Noel E. Alinsub for accepting this opportunity and for the consistent support to our personnel and volunteers. Your leadership empowers our team to enhance their skills and better serve the community.

Beyond rescue preparedness, this training also highlights our commitment to tourism development and safety. By equipping our personnel with professional diving certification and underwater safety skills, we ensure that Bontoc’s marine life remain safe, protected, and ready to welcome visitors. A well-trained dive team not only strengthens emergency response but also boosts confidence in our local tourism industry.

By virtue of Executive Order No. 01, Series of 2026, issued by Governor Damian G. Mercado, work in all government offices and classes at all levels in both public and private schools in the Province of Southern Leyte are SUSPENDED on February 6, 2026 (Friday) due to Tropical Storm “BASYANG.”

Private offices may suspend work at the discretion of their management. Agencies delivering essential and emergency services shall remain operational.
