Nakatanggap kami ng mga ulat na isang nagpapakilalang Mr. Joseph ang nagpapanggap na kawani ng DA-Bureau of Plant Industry (DA-BPI) sa ilalim ng Tanggapan ni Director Gerald Glenn F. Panganiban, Ph.D.

Ilegal na ginagamit ng tao na ito ang pangalan ni Director Panganiban upang manghingi o mag-solicit ng pera mula sa ating mga supplier at stakeholder.

🔒 Upang mapangalagaan ang inyong kapakanan at mapanatili ang integridad ng ating ahensya, mangyaring tandaan ang mga sumusunod:

✅Ang BPI ay hindi kailanman nagbibigay ng pahintulot sa sinuman na humingi ng pera o donasyon bilang representasyon ng ahensya.

✅Ang anumang paggamit sa pangalan, numero ng telepono, o email address ni Director Panganiban para sa ganitong gawain ay mahigpit na ipinagbabawal.

✅Ang lahat ng transaksyon ng kawanihan ay idinadaan sa pormal at dokumentadong proseso ng gobyerno.

Kung kayo ay tawagan o lapitan ng sinumang nagpapakilalang kinatawan ng BPI at humihingi ng pinansyal na konsiderasyon, ay huwag makipag-ugnayan o magbigay ng anumang impormasyong pinansyal.

The Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Plant Industry, National Plant Quarantine Services Division (DA-BPI NPQSD) informs the public that the Philippines does not import fresh ube (purple yam) from any country.

Any fresh ube being 𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙙, 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙚𝙙, or 𝙘𝙡𝙖𝙞𝙢𝙚𝙙 as "𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙚𝙙" should be verified with the appropriate authorities, as the importation of fresh agricultural commodities is subject to strict phytosanitary regulations to prevent the introduction and spread of harmful plant pests and diseases that may threaten Philippine agriculture and food security.

The DA-BPI NPQSD remains committed to safeguarding the country's plant resources through effective border control measures while facilitating safe and compliant agricultural trade.

National Rice Awareness Month

Nobyembre 2025

Tuwing Nobyembre, ipinagdiriwang natin ang National Rice Awareness Month bilang pagkilala sa kahalagahan ng bigas at sa sakripisyo ng mga Pilipinong magsasaka.

Nakikiisa ang Bureau of Plant Industry - National Plant Quarantine Services Division sa layuning isulong ang sapat, ligtas, at napapanatiling produksyon at pagkonsumo ng bigas.

Hinihikayat ang lahat to “Be RICEponsible” — tangkilikin ang lokal na bigas, iwasan ang pagsasayang ng pagkain, at suportahan ang makakalikasang pagsasaka.

Ang bawat butil ng bigas ay sagisag ng sipag, tiyaga, at pag-asa — kaya’t sama-sama nating itaguyod ang masaganang ani at maunlad na buhay para sa bawat Pilipino.🌾
