The Provincial Government of Maguindanao del Sur, through the Office of the Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator (OPPDC), proceeded with the submission of the duly approved and adopted Provincial Development and Physical Framework Plan (PDPFP) 2023โ2032 to the Ministry of Human Settlements and Development (MHSD-BARMM), particularly its Technical and Regulatory Services, as part of the continuing process toward the planโs ratification.
This milestone reflects the collective efforts of the Provincial Government, concerned local government units, and partner agencies in formulating a comprehensive ten-year development and spatial framework to guide the province toward inclusive, sustainable, peaceful, and climate- and disaster-resilient development. The PDPFP establishes the provinceโs strategic directions for economic growth, social development, infrastructure development, environmental management, sustainable settlements, and effective governance.
Further strengthening this accomplishment, the PDPFP 2023โ2032 was duly endorsed by the Regional Land Use Committee (RLUC) through a resolution, signifying an important step in advancing the plan through the regional review and approval process. This endorsement underscores the importance of aligning the provinceโs development priorities and spatial strategies with the broader regional development and land-use planning framework of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
The Provincial Government of Maguindanao del Sur also extends its sincere gratitude to the Bangsamoro Planning and Development Authority (BPDA) and the Ministry of Human Settlements and Development (MHSD-BARMM) for their invaluable technical assistance, professional guidance, and continued support throughout the preparation, refinement, and enhancement of the plan. Their contributions, particularly in spatial planning, thematic map generation, land-use analysis, and the integration of relevant planning considerations, have been instrumental in improving the technical quality and completeness of the PDPFP.
With the plan duly approved and adopted at the provincial level and endorsed by the RLUC through a resolution, the submission to MHSD-BARMM represents a significant step toward completing the necessary requirements for ratification.
