𝗕𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄 𝗻𝗶 𝗶𝗦𝗞𝗼

𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺
Is an initiative of the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Doongan that aims to promote learning, recreation, and youth development by providing access to essential educational and sports resources. Through this programme, less fortunate young people can borrow books, calculators, and sports equipment free of charge to support their academic pursuits and recreational activities. The initiative seeks to remove financial barriers, encourage productive use of time, foster a culture of learning, and provide opportunities for youth to develop their skills, knowledge, and overall well-being within the community.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝘃𝗮𝗶𝗹?
1. Send a message to the official SK Doongan page indicating the item you wish to borrow (books, calculators, or sports equipment).
2. Wait for the confirmation and response from the SK Doongan team regarding the availability of the requested item.
3. Once approved, proceed to the SK Office and present any required identification.
4. Accomplish and sign the Borrower's Slip before receiving the item.
5. Return the borrowed item on the agreed schedule and in good condition.

𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟 𝗦𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗜𝗡𝗖𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦 𝗠𝗨𝗦𝗧 𝗕𝗘 𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗭𝗘𝗗

In our digital age, one click can spread information across the nation in seconds. This connectivity can be a force for good, but it also risks turning school shootings into a normalized tragedy when such incidents are irresponsibly posted online.

Research shows how social media shapes behavior. Nor et al. (2025) observed that many users rely on social media for self‑validation. Wright et al. (2017) identified two pseudo‑behaviors in false self‑presentation: lying (posting fake updates) and liking (seeking validation through reactions). Both are driven by affirmation needs, often leading to distorted online experiences.

Michikyan (2022) explains that this demand to present idealized lives online can heighten fear of negative evaluation (Ali et al., 2021, 2023; Bastrygina et al., 2024; Stsiampkouskaya et al., 2021). Users then prolong these behaviors to manage social pressure (Fabris et al., 2020; Javornik et al., 2022; Naidu et al., 2023). Together, these studies reveal a cycle: posting fuels problematic behavior, which in turn drives further destructive actions.

When school shooting incidents are posted without context or restraint, they risk trivializing violence and desensitizing young audiences. Worse, such exposure can inspire imitation. Educational discourse reminds us that online freedom must be balanced with responsibility. Destigmatizing harmful posts is not about silencing voices, but about protecting communities from fear and preventing children from copying destructive acts.

Safeguarding children in the digital world is a shared responsibility. Parents, educators, and youth leaders must ensure that online spaces promote security, empathy, and accountability rather than fear. By practicing responsible posting and critical awareness, we protect not only today’s learners but also the future of our nation.

This meaningful activity was made possible as an initiative of SM City Butuan through its SM Cares, inspiring bayanihan vibes and collective action to protect our oceans. Together with fellow volunteers, we strengthened our commitment to environmental stewardship and community solidarity.

After bringing home the 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗧𝗶𝘁𝗹𝗲 during the 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘀 of 𝗔𝗱𝗹𝗮𝘄 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, it’s time for our Daungan Performing Tribe to celebrate the victory together!

Our reward? A well-deserved getaway to 𝗧𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘆-𝗮𝗻 𝗙𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿, 𝗦𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗮𝗼 𝗱𝗲𝗹 𝗦𝘂𝗿.

A celebration of hard work, passion, teamwork, and the pride of Doongan. From the stage to the waterfalls, this victory is ours to enjoy!
