Member-agencies of the Caraga Regional Disaster Response and Early Recovery Thematic Committee (RDRERTC) convened today, October 1, to present their actions taken and assess the need for further response operations in light of the El Niño phenomenon.

Representatives from the local government units (LGUs) placed under the state of calamity such as Butuan City, and provinces of Dinagat Islands and Agusan del Sur, likewise joined the meeting to relay the current situation of their respective localities and the interventions they need to further their response actions.

The workshop served as an avenue for the participating LGUs and agencies to brainstorm and craft response plans in order to immediately respond to the growing needs of the affected LGUs and their populace due to the persistent effects of the El Niño.
