๐๐ถ๐๐น๐ถ๐ด ๐๐ถ๐๐ โ As part of the program's pre-certification assessment, the 25 youth participants were individually challenged to prepare two randomly assigned coffee-based beverages within a strict 10-minute time limit. The activity tested not only their technical competencies in beverage preparation but also their speed, precision, workflow efficiency, and adherence to industry standards. Despite the demanding assessment, participants demonstrated commendable skills, and confidenceโreflecting the knowledge and practical experience gained throughout the 5-day training.
Implemented under the RAPID Growth Project, the ๐๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก ๐๐๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ ๐๐ซ๐๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ฆ is one of the project's strategic interventions to strengthen youth participation in the coffee value chain by equipping young individuals with industry-relevant technical skills and expanding employment and entrepreneurship opportunities in the coffee sector across Caraga.
Among the participants are 8 Youth Representatives from Agusan del Norte, intentionally selected to serve as future champions of the province's coffee industry. Beyond this training, these young baristas are expected to become catalysts for growth, promote coffee appreciation, and contribute to the long-term sustainability and competitiveness of the region's coffee value chain.
The successful completion of the training marks another significant milestone in empowering the next generation of coffee professionals and reinforcing the RAPID Growth Project's commitment to building an inclusive, resilient, and youth-driven coffee industry.
