Pagudpud, Ilocos Norteโ€” Isabela State University (ISU) Cabagan Campus conducted a learning and team-building engagement for its Non-Teaching Staff Association (NTSA) and Campus Executive Committee, composed of College Deans and Campus Directors, held on September 17-19, 2026 in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte.

The activity was led by Cluster Executive Officer Prof. Jane G. Cabauatan, PhD, under the theme "Breaking Barriers, Building Bridges: Gender Equality for a Stronger ISU Cabagan." It was facilitated by the Campus Human Resource Management Office (HRMO), headed by HR Officer Ms. Gay Z. Bautista.

The training consisted of two sessions. The first tackled the Integration of Gender Sensitive Practices in the units and processes of the campus, discussed by Ms. Imee Gumiran, one of the Campus' GAD Resource Persons. The second session focused on a simple mental health component through a discussion on Love Languages in the Workplace, led by Dr. Joseph Dauag, a faculty member.

The activity also addressed key institutional concerns, including the finalization of the Campus' Land Use Development and Infrastructure Plan (LUDIP).

Aside from the formal sessions, the activity likewise served as a venue for fostering camaraderie among personnel across different offices and levels of responsibility, including College Deans, Campus Directors, and non-teaching staff.

Prof. Cabauatan expressed continued support for initiatives that promote both professional development and stronger working relationships among ISU Cabagan personnel. Campus AFS Director Ms. Cherry B. Trinidad, CPA, likewise expressed her support for the activity.

The event was organized by the NTSA, in coordination with the Campus HRMO, as part of the campus' ongoing efforts to build a more collaborative and gender-responsive institutional culture.

The Extended Administrative Council of Isabela State University (ISU) Cabagan Campus, headed by Cluster Executive Officer Prof. Jane G. Cabauatan, PhD, held a session to review and discuss the Campus' Land Use Development and Infrastructure Plan (LUDIP) on the second day of its two-day Gender and Development (GAD) Training held on September 17โ€“19, 2026 in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte.

The session was attended by Campus Administrative and Finance Services (AFS) Director Ms. Cherry B. Trinidad, CPA, along with other Campus Directors and College Deans who form part of the Campus Executive Committee.

Mr. Matt Zipagan, Chair of the Campus Land Inventory and Acquisition Titling Committee, together with Co-Chair and AFS Director Cherry B. Trinidad, presented the outline of information needed for the plan's completion. Members of the body actively participated in the discussion, offering inputs relevant to their respective units and areas of responsibility.

The LUDIP serves as the campus' long-term guide for the strategic allocation, development, and management of its land assets and physical infrastructure. It aims to ensure that future construction, facility expansion, and land utilization are aligned with the university's academic growth, environmental sustainability goals, disaster-resilience standards, and the evolving needs of students, faculty, and personnel. The plan also supports compliance with government land-use and zoning requirements while providing a clear framework for prioritizing infrastructure projects amid limited resources.

The review of the LUDIP forms part of the broader agenda of the GAD Training, reinforcing ISU Cabagan's commitment to inclusive, well-planned, and forward-looking campus development.
