The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Nueva Ecija Provincial Office convened a meeting on May 28, 2026, at the DARPO Conference Room to discuss potential partnerships and strengthen the ube supply chain in the province through collaboration with Forturo Foods Manufacturing and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI).

The activity focused on exploring opportunities that will support local farmers, agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs), cooperatives, and farmers’ organizations engaged in ube production and agribusiness development.

Representatives from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Nueva Ecija, led by Chief Trade Industry Development Specialist Maria Odessa Manzano, Senior Specialist Dennis Suyayen, and staff members; the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Nueva Ecija, represented by Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Eden Ponio, Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer I Engr. Anna Marie Guillermo, and officials; the Provincial Agricultural Office, represented by Marry Rose Bautista; and Forturo Foods Manufacturing, represented by Operating Manager Engr. John Benedict Abello, participated in the discussion.

During the meeting, Forturo Foods Manufacturing presented an overview of its company background, operational requirements, and market opportunities related to ube-based products. The discussion also highlighted the current supply situation in Nueva Ecija, including estimated harvest volumes, seasonal availability, and existing ube-producing farmer groups.

Participants also explored possible areas of collaboration such as contract growing arrangements, strengthening agricultural supply chains, and sustainable market linkage opportunities for local farmers and cooperatives.

Through this initiative, DAR Nueva Ecija reaffirmed its commitment to empowering agrarian reform beneficiaries and promoting sustainable rural development by connecting farmer organizations with institutional markets and private sector partners.

The Department of Agrarian Reform - Nueva Ecija Provincial Office conducted an orientation on May 26, 2026 at the DARPO Nueva Ecija Function Room regarding the conduct of consultations/pulong-pulong and preparatory works for the Provincial Indigenous Peoples Plan (IPP) under Project SPLIT.

The activity gathered concerned DAR personnel to discuss guidelines, coordination efforts, and preparatory measures to ensure the effective implementation and submission of the IPP in compliance with Project SPLIT requirements. The orientation also emphasized collaboration and support among offices and technical staff for the successful conduct of the undertaking.

ADVISORY: Pursuant to Proclamation No. 1264, s. 2026, please be informed that the Department of Agrarian Reform - Nueva Ecija Provincial Office, including all DAR - Nueva Ecija Municipal Offices, will be CLOSED on May 27, 2026 (Wednesday) in observance of Eid'I Adha (Feast of Sacrifice).

Office operations will RESUME on May 28, 2026 (Thursday).

Please be further informed that there will likewise be no office operations on May 29, 2026 (Friday) due to the continued implementation of the four-day work week scheme in compliance with
MC No. 114.

Sa ilalim ng 9 Primary Goals ni DAR Secretary Conrado Estrella III, patuloy na binibigyang halaga ang mga anak ng ating Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) sa pamamagitan ng educational assistance at scholarship interventions na nagbubukas ng mas maraming oportunidad para sa kanilang kinabukasan.

Patunay rito si Jeanelyn Agballog ng Lupao, Nueva Ecija, isa sa mga benepisyaryo ng DAR Scholarship Program, na sa bawat pangarap na naaabot ng mga anak ng ating ARBs, mas tumitibay ang layunin ng ahensya na hindi lamang mamahagi ng lupa, kundi magbigay rin ng pag-asa at mas maliwanag na kinabukasan para sa susunod na henerasyon.

Kumakatawan si Aling Juliana Amorada sa libo-libong ARBs sa Central Luzon na nagpapatunay sa maginhawang buhay na hatid ng pagkakaroon ng sariling lupa at buradong pagkakautang sa mga lupang sakahan sa ilalim ng RA 11953 (The New Agrarian Emancipation Act).

Dahil sa titulo ng lupa na ipinagkaloob ng DAR, napagtapos ni Aling Juliana ang kanyang limang anak sa pag-aaral. Naging daan din ito upang magkaroon ng kooperatiba ang kanilang lugar sa Cuyapo, Nueva Ecija.
