Leadership is more than just holding a position or making promises; it is about 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗽,, taking 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, and standing firmly by those you serve. In the Institute of Linguistics and Literature (IOLL), we believe that leadership should be a true reflection of the values that matter most to students. This is why we—Carylle, Althea, and Lucs—stand united as 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗖𝗔𝗟 : built on 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗼𝘆𝗮𝗹𝘁𝘆.

𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 is the foundation of our leadership. It means being 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 to the needs of every student—not only when it is convenient or visible, but at every moment when guidance, support, or advocacy is required. For us, commitment is about 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗽 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗻𝗼 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴, ensuring that every decision we make serves the 𝗯𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗯𝗼𝗱𝘆.

Because a government that doesn’t listen has no purpose, we are institutionalizing the "𝗩𝗢𝗖𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗭𝗘" 𝗦𝘂𝗴𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺, ensuring that every grievance—whether shared through our physical or digital suggestion boxes—is documented and met with decisive legislative action. We also recognize that in this high-pressure academic era, your peace of mind is just as important as your grades; thus, we are prioritizing 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 through "Mental Health Breaks" and expert-led discussions designed to build emotional resilience and foster a supportive environment for every student. 👥

Finally, we believe that respect for the student body starts with the basics. Her mission is simple yet profound: To be the solution. Recognizing the gaps in the current student governance—from the lack of organizations to the absence of a formal office—Althea chose to be proactive. She is here to build, not just to critique; to empower the student body, and to lead with a heart that knows no bounds.

𝗖𝗮𝗿𝘆𝗹𝗹𝗲 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗚. 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗮 | Candidate for Vice Governor

Rising above hesitation and doubt, Carylle faced the ultimate challenge: "How can I know my capability if I don't try?" She refused to settle for the comfort of the sidelines. Instead, she chose to embrace the opportunity to lead, to grow, and to serve as a bridge for meaningful, lasting change.

Despite the weight of the responsibility, Lucs chose to answer the call of duty. Challenged by the chance to give "one more shot" to those who believe in him, he accepted the mission with a firm heart. He is stepping up with the backbone to lead and the voice to represent. He doesn’t just wait for change—he makes it happen.

Lucs will stand for students to feel heard, even those who are deaf—whispering for changes and empowering the unnoticed. 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲—following the rightful manner and appropriate standards to address what's being untold and speaking what's unheard.

As he walks towards another path—our "yes" is all he needs to serve for the better, lead with dedication, and stand for the truth. He will state our whispers and take the place for changes.
