𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐂𝐔𝐄, 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐌𝐈𝐓𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐈𝐍 𝐒𝐀𝐕𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐋𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐒

At around 3:00 am, 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟒, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, 𝐒𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲, a nine-storey structure which is still under construction at Brgy. Balibago, Angeles City Pampanga, reportedly collapsed.

On the same day, the Cabanatuan City DRRM Council, through the directives of its chairperson, Mayor Myca Vergara, immediately deployed a Search, Rescue and Retrieval Team to augment to the collapsed structure incident.

As to date, 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟗, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲, with reports of death toll climbed to 6, 14 individuals still missing, and 26 rescued, the Search and Rescue, and Clearing Operations are still ongoing.

The Cabanatuan City DRRM Office, with the Rescue Team from Brgy Pagas headed by Hon. Christopher Lee, remains activated.

Ganap nang isang Tropical Storm ang Low Pressure Area na binabantayan sa labas ng Philippine Area of Responsibility. Ito ay binigyan ng international name na “HAGUPIT”.

Taglay nito ang lakas ng hangin na umaabot sa 65km/h at pagbugso na tinatayang nasa 80km/h habang nasa karagatan sa timog ng Guam at kumikilos 20km/h pakanluran.

Ito ay inaasahang papasok sa loob ng PAR late Friday o early Saturday kung mapapanatili ang bilis nito, at ito ay bibigyan ng local name na .

Inaasahan din na matutunaw at hihina ito bago pa man makarating sa kalupaan dahil sa mataas na Shear Line o ang pagkakaiba ng hangin sa karagatan na maaaring makasira ng sirkulasyon ng bagyo.

Gayunpaman, inaasahan pa rin na maramdaman ang epekto nito sa Eastern Visayas and Bicol Region, Silangan ng Cagayan Valley, Aurora at Quezon by early next week.

Manatiling nakatutok sa lagay ng panahon at nakahanda sa anumang maaaring maging epekto ng Tropical Storm "Hagupit".
