๐‹๐Ž๐Ž๐Š | Returning to her alma mater, Commencement Speaker MS. Mylene Somera reminded the Class of 2026 that they are stepping into a VUCA worldโ€”one that is volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous.

Drawing from the Japanese concept of Ikigai, she encouraged the graduates to discover their purpose and never become complacent in pursuing growth and excellence.

Emphasizing that success is not merely about making a living, Ms. Somera urged the graduates to create lives that matter by finding meaning in what they do and using their talents in the service of othersโ€”because true success is measured not only by what one achieves, but by the positive impact one leaves on the world.

๐‹๐Ž๐Ž๐Š | Sharing his journey from humble beginnings to becoming an educator and leader, Commencement Speaker Dr. Perfecto Felix, Jr. reminded the graduates that the day was not only a celebration of achievement but also of gratitude and hope.

Recalling his life as an NEUSTianโ€”from growing up in a household without a permanent source of income, to finding opportunities through music as a choir member, and later serving as a volunteer teacherโ€”he stood as a testament that challenges do not define one's future. Rather, it is determination, perseverance, and faith that shape the path ahead.

Encouraging the Class of 2026 to continue learning, lead with integrity, and use their success to serve others, he urged the graduates to become builders of a better society, champions of innovation, and leaders who will help shape a brighter shared future for all.
