Cabanatuan District Jail-Male Dormitory

𝐏𝐑𝐈𝐃𝐄 𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐇 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 💇‍♂️💇

In line with the celebration of Pride Month 2026, the Cabanatuan District Jail Male Dormitory successfully conducted a Skill Enhancement in Hair Cutting, Free Haircutting Services, and Feeding Activity for the LGBTQIA+ Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs). The activity aimed to promote inclusivity, empowerment, self-development, and well-being among the PDLs while recognizing the significance of Pride Month.

The program provided PDL with basic and enhanced hair-cutting skills that may serve as a valuable livelihood opportunity upon their reintegration into society. In addition, free haircutting services were rendered to PDL, helping boost their confidence and personal grooming. A feeding activity was also conducted, where snacks were distributed to fifty (50) PDL, fostering a sense of community and care.

Present during the activity were 𝐉𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐋𝐄𝐘 𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐊 𝐃𝐀𝐕𝐈𝐃, 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐉𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐉𝐎𝟏 𝐌𝐲𝐥𝐞𝐞 𝐋 𝐑𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐬, 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐟, 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, who expressed their support for programs that promote personal growth, dignity, and equal opportunities for all PDL.

The successful conduct of the activity was made possible through the guidance and support of 𝐉𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐄𝐃𝐖𝐈𝐍 𝐆 𝐁𝐔𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐀𝐎, 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐉𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐧, whose commitment to the welfare and rehabilitation of PDLs continues to inspire meaningful initiatives within the district.

The Cabanatuan District Jail Male Dormitory also extends its heartfelt gratitude to 𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧, 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐌𝐬. 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐱𝐢𝐬 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐠𝐮𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐬. 𝐀𝐬𝐡𝐥𝐞𝐲 𝐓𝐮𝐩𝐚𝐬 𝐂𝐚𝐣𝐮𝐜𝐨𝐦, for generously sharing their expertise and services during the activity. Likewise, sincere appreciation is given to 𝐇𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐬 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐲 𝐒𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧, headed by 𝐌𝐬. 𝐍𝐨𝐞𝐥 𝐁. The Cabanatuan District Jail Male and Female Dormitories actively participated in a radio guesting at DWJJ TV and Radio Station to promote upcoming activities, livelihood initiatives, and skills development programs designed to support the rehabilitation and reintegration of Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL).

The activity was spearheaded by JO2 Leslie L Cajucom, Development Officer, JO1 Omar Garcia, KKDK Facilitator, JO1 Moises Ibarra M Manese, Community Relations Service Officer; JO1 Rosemarie G Sevilla, Intelligence Officer (Female Dormitory); JO1 Shaira Jel Binuya, Community Relations Service Officer (Female Dormitory).

During the guesting, the personnel of male and female dormitories discussed forthcoming livelihood projects, vocational and skills training programs, educational opportunities, and other developmental activities aimed at enhancing the capabilities of PDL. These initiatives are intended to equip PDL with practical skills, promote personal growth, and prepare them for productive and responsible reintegration into society upon release.

The guesting was conducted under the guidance and support of JCINSP EDWIN G BULATAO, Acting District Jail Warden (Male Dormitory), and JINSP GLORIA ROSARIO G SANTOS, Acting District Jail Warden (Female Dormitory), whose leadership continues to strengthen rehabilitation-focused programs.

In line with the celebration of the BJMP Anniversary, the Cabanatuan District Jail Male Dormitory actively participated in the 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗲𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 held at 𝗕𝗿𝗴𝘆. 𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗜𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗿𝗼, 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗿, 𝗡𝘂𝗲𝘃𝗮 𝗘𝗰𝗶𝗷𝗮.

The activity was spearheaded by 𝐉𝐂𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏 𝐄𝐃𝐖𝐈𝐍 𝐆 𝐁𝐔𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐀𝐎, 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 𝐉𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐧, together with the personnel of this jail unit. The tree planting initiative aimed to promote environmental protection, contribute to reforestation efforts, and strengthen the commitment of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) to sustainable community development.

During the activity, a total of 100 fruit-bearing trees were successfully planted in the designated area. The participation and cooperation of personnel demonstrated their dedication to environmental stewardship and their support for programs that benefit both the community and future generations.

The successful conduct of the Simultaneous Tree Planting Activity highlights the commitment of the Cabanatuan District Jail Male Dormitory to the BJMP's advocacy of environmental conservation and community involvement. Through this meaningful undertaking, the jail unit contributed to the preservation of natural resources while commemorating the BJMP Anniversary in a productive and impactful manner.

The personnel of Cabanatuan District Jail – Male Dormitory actively participated in the Flag Raising Ceremony held at the City Hall, Barangay Kapitan Pepe.

The activity was headed by 𝙅𝘾𝙄𝙉𝙎𝙋 𝙀𝘿𝙒𝙄𝙉 𝙂 𝘽𝙐𝙇𝘼𝙏𝘼𝙊, 𝘼𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙘𝙩 𝙅𝙖𝙞𝙡 𝙒𝙖𝙧𝙙𝙚𝙣 together with the personnel of male and female dormitories.

This attendance highlighted the commitment of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) in fostering unity, discipline, and strong partnership with the local government of Cabanatuan City.

It also served as a symbolic gesture of respect to the national flag and recognition of the shared responsibility in promoting good governance and public service.

In celebration of Father’s Day, the Cabanatuan District Jail Male Dormitory conducted a simple yet meaningful program for the Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs) to recognize and honor their role as fathers. The activity aimed to uplift their spirits and strengthen their connection with their families through expressions of love, appreciation, and support.

The celebration included a feeding program, gift-giving activity, and the reading of Father’s Day greeting cards prepared by the families of the PDLs. The heartfelt messages from their loved ones brought joy and encouragement to the participants, making the occasion memorable and inspiring.

Their kindness and generosity brought happiness to the PDLs on this special day.

Special thanks are also extended to Barangay Captain of DS Garcia Hon. Exequiel Musni for his support and contribution to the activity. His assistance helped make the celebration more meaningful for the PDLs.

Through this Father’s Day celebration, the Cabanatuan District Jail Male Dormitory reaffirmed the importance of family, compassion, and hope. The event served as a reminder that despite the challenges they face, the PDLs remain valued fathers whose presence and influence continue to be cherished by their families.
