Honoring a Legacy of Leadership in Education and Public Service

With profound sorrow, the Department of Education – Schools Division Office of Quirino joins the Province of Quirino in mourning the passing of Hon. Dakila Carlo E. Cua, Governor of the Province of Quirino.

For the education sector, his passing is deeply felt—not only as the loss of a public servant, but of a leader whose work and support helped shape opportunities for our learners, teachers, and schools.

His leadership reminded us that education is a shared responsibility. Through meaningful collaboration with DepEd and other education stakeholders, his administration contributed to an environment where schools could continue to pursue better learning opportunities and where the welfare and development of learners remained an important part of public service. The province currently has 186 schools, reflecting the breadth of the education community he served alongside.

Beyond programs, projects, and accomplishments, what remains is the impact of leadership that reaches people—the learner given an opportunity, the teacher empowered to serve, the school strengthened to provide a better learning environment, and the community inspired to believe in the power of education.

Governor Dakila Carlo E. Cua leaves behind a legacy that will continue to live in the stories of the people he served and in the aspirations of the young generation of Quirino.

As we grieve his passing, we remember his service with honor, gratitude, and deep respect.

Maraming salamat, Gov. Dakila, for your service to Quirino and for standing with our education community. May your legacy of public service continue to inspire us to serve with the same dedication and love for our people.

Maligayang Araw ng mga Bayani! 🇵🇭

Ngayong araw, nagbibigay-pugay ang Kagawaran ng Edukasyon sa lahat ng bayaning Pilipino mula sa mga nag-alay ng kanilang buhay para sa ating kalayaan hanggang sa mga patuloy na naglilingkod nang buong puso para sa bansa.

Kasabay ng pagdiriwang, kinikilala rin natin ang magigiting na bayani ng iba’t ibang sektor, kabilang ang ating mga g**o at kawani na katuwang natin sa pagsig**o ng maayos na kalidad ng edukasyon para sa mga Pilipinong mag-aaral.

The 1st Instructional Block for SY 2026–2027 at Villa Peña Elementary School was strengthened through sustained instructional supervision, technical assistance, monitoring, and collaborative support from the Schools Division Office of Quirino-Curriculum Implementation Division Team.

The school gratefully acknowledges the strong instructional leadership and unwavering support of our Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Madelyn L. Macalling, CESO IV, and Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Nelia M. Mabuti, CESE, whose guidance and commitment to quality education continue to inspire schools toward excellence in teaching and learning.

We are likewise grateful for the guidance and technical assistance provided by the CID Team headed by Dr. Mely M. Rubi, CID Chief, together with dedicated Education Program Supervisors, Dr. Fe G. Buccahan, Dr. Shirley Cainguitan, Dr. Wilma S. Domingo, and Dr. Felimendo M. Felipe.

The team provided valuable technical assistance and instructional support to our school head, Mrs. Cherrie Lou Q. Javier in various areas,preparation and validation of class programs, classroom observation, instructional planning, implementation of the Homeroom Guidance Program, Compass 360 Instructional Supervision,curriculum-related concerns, and other matters concerning the effective delivery of quality basic education.

The instructional supervision activities provided opportunities for professional dialogue, coaching, mentoring, reflection, and continuous improvement, enabling the school head and teachers to recognize strengths, address areas for improvement, and implement appropriate strategies and interventions to enhance teaching practices and learner outcomes.

The school also extends its sincere appreciation to
Dr. Roman G. Pagaduan Jr., District Supervisor of Cabarroguis, for his continuing instructional monitoring, supervision, mentoring, and provision of technical assistance, particularly in ensuring the proper implementation and adherence to DepEd policies, programs, guidelines, and issuances at the school level.

These collaborative efforts demonstrate the strong support and shared commitment of the SDO Quirino leadership, CID Team, District Office, school head, and teaching force in strengthening quality instruction. Through responsive instructional supervision and continuous professional support, VPES remains committed to fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, collaboration, and lifelong professional growth.

At VPES, we believe that strong instructional leadership leads to empowered teachers, effective teaching, and better learning outcomes for every learner.

Hindi lamang pang-akademikong pagkatuto ang binibigyang-pansin sa ating paaralan, kundi pati na rin ang kaayusan ng kapaligiran at kalusugan ng ating mga mag-aaral.
Bilang bahagi ng School-Based Feeding Program, naghahanda na ang bawat baitang para sa pagtatayo ng Gulayan ng Paaralan sa kani-kanilang itinakdang lugar, katuwang ang ating mga masisipag na magulang.
Sa sama-samang pagkilos ng paaralan at mga magulang, patuloy nating maisusulong ang isang malinis, luntian, at malusog na paaralan para sa ating mga mag-aaral.
Maraming salamat sa lahat ng nakibhagi sa ating buwanang Gawain ng Bayanihan.
