The Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) Program is showing strong early gains, with schools nationwide posting 30–40 percent increases in reading proficiency. 𝐌𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐝 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐬 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐕-𝐀 𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐀𝐁𝐀𝐑𝐙𝐎𝐍, 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐝𝐝𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐘𝐞𝐚𝐫 (𝐌𝐎𝐒𝐘) 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭.

The school posted a significant increase in Key Stage 1 reading proficiency from 𝟕𝟒.𝟔𝟓 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝟖𝟗.𝟕𝟐 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭, earning recognition from the Department of Education Central Office as a top-performing school in the region.

This achievement is credited to the combined efforts of ARAL tutors and learners, with strong support from parents, stakeholders, and the entire school community, under the leadership of 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐦𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐞𝐥 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐝𝐚 and the guidance of division education officials.

School leaders attributed the success to the 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦, “𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬,” initiated by 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐑. 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐳, 𝐂𝐄𝐒𝐎 𝐕. The program prioritizes Key Stage 1 learners through teacher capability-building, structured literacy coaching, provision of learning resources, and partnerships with NGOs, colleges, and universities.
