Sa pamamagitan ng One-Time Abatement Program ng Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), nabibigyan ng pagkakataon ang mga kwalipikadong micro taxpayer na maayos ang kanilang mga natitirang tax liabilities at penalties sa mas mababang halaga.

Samantala, sa pinasimpleng proseso ng pagsasara ng negosyo, o ang tinatawag na Ease of Closing Business Program, nababawasan ang mga requirements at napapabilis ang pagproseso ng business closure.

Alamin ang karanasan nina Jerome, Paul, Kimberly, at Criselda mula sa Leyte at Ormoc, at kung paano nila mismo naranasan ang mga pagbabagong ito.

Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) Commissioner Charlito Martin R. Mendoza called on all BIR personnel to think and work as data professionals, emphasizing the importance of responsible data management and effective communication during the Bureau’s 37th National Statistics Month Forum held on October 22, 2026, at the BIR National Office in Quezon City.
“I envision every BIR revenuer thinking and working as a data professional,” Commissioner Mendoza said, linking this vision to the Digital and Data Transformation pillar of the BIR DARES reform agenda.
Commissioner Mendoza also urged personnel to become effective data storytellers and communicators, capable of presenting the Bureau’s reforms and accomplishments in ways that inform and engage taxpayers. He stressed that such communication must remain accurate and grounded in sound statistics.
Highlighting this year’s National Statistics Month theme, “Tuklas Pilipinas: Statistics as Beacon Towards Inclusive, Resilient, and Sustainable Tourism,” he underscored the contributions of domestic tourism and international visitor arrivals to economic activity, employment, and local development. He noted that statistics help measure these contributions and identify opportunities for further growth.
The forum gathered BIR officials and employees from the National Office and Revenue Regions, along with resource speakers, to highlight the role of statistics in tourism development and economic growth.
Commissioner Mendoza concluded by urging BIR personnel to use statistical insights to better understand taxpayers’ needs and improve public service, in line with the Bureau’s 2026 National Tax Campaign theme, “Mahusay na Serbisyo, Katumbas ng Buwis Mo.”

Taxpayers may now resume filing their tax returns and paying corresponding taxes through eFPS.

Maintenance Schedule:
Start: October 27, 2026 (Tuesday), at 5:00 PM
End: October 30, 2026 (Friday), at 11:59 PM
