The Barons Society was originally conceptualized by then SSg Jimmy “Jacklord” I Jacobe (Inf) PA, now retired from the regular force AFP who was at the time the Junior Military Instructor and by the insinuation of Tsg Eufemio “Eufemdols” U. Dolalas Jr., also the former Senior Military Instructor, Don Mariano Marcos Memorial Polytechnic State College (DMMMPSC) Citizens Military Training Unit (CMTU) now Mindanao University of Science and Technoloy (M.U.S.T.), of which then Cadet Lt Col Artemio Ebao 1CL, Batallion Commander of the Southern Technical Institute (S.T.I) CMT Unit, a DMMMPSC CMT affiliated unit, 10th Regional Community Defense Unit (10th RCDU), under the Commandantship at that moment of LT COL CASIANO O ABRAGAN (INF) PA. Advocating upon such instruction, Cadet Lt Col Ebao, commenced the putting up of an organization composed of Basic and Advance CMTU Cadets and Cadetes of the DMMMPSC CMTU and all other affiliated units under its command, thus in reference also with the provision of Armed Forces of the Philippines Regulations Guidelines 310-021 dated 24 August 1985, the embodiment of the BARONS SOCIETY came into existence. The first meeting was held on 18 August 1989 at the above-mentioned CMT Office of DMMMPSC in Lapasan, Cagayan de Oro City for the purpose of drafting the Constitution and By Laws of the said Society after which an election of officers was then conducted and Cadet Lt Col Artemio Ebao became the first President of the organization.
