CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY – The Regional Conciliation and Mediation Branch gathered over 30 participants from 24 establishments across the region for a learning session on “Productivity-Based Incentive Schemes, Employees’ Rights and Management Prerogative, and the Impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the Workplace” on June 30, 2026.

Don Carlos, Bukidnon — Last August 20, 2026, Senior Labor and Employment Officer Junaliza S. Aragon led the discussion on “Workplace Dispute Handling: Administrative and Grievance Processes” during a workshop requested by the DAVCO Bukidnon Laborers’ Union and held at DAVCO, San Nicolas, Don Carlos, Bukidnon.

The activity brought together representatives from the Rank-and-File Union, Supervisory Union, and Management, focusing on the proper handling and processing of workplace disputes through administrative and grievance processes. Aragon also re-oriented the LMC Committees on their functions and the conduct of effective LMC meetings.

The workshop aimed to strengthen participants’ knowledge on workplace dispute handling and further enhance labor-management cooperation mechanisms in promoting harmonious workplace relations.

RCMB X thanks the DAVCO Bukidnon Laborers’ Union, together with the management and participants, for the invitation and active engagement during the activity.

LIVE: DOLE Flag-Raising Ceremony | 24 August 2026
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) holds its flag-raising ceremony at the DOLE Central Office in Intramuros, Manila, as the Department continues to uphold unity, integrity, and commitment in advancing the welfare of Filipino workers.
The Department also presents a plaque of appreciation to outgoing OIC-Undersecretary Atty. Gerard A. Mosquera in recognition of his invaluable contributions to DOLE as he concludes his service.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | Labor Advisory No. 13, Series of 2026 - Pay Rules on 21 August 2026 - Ninoy Aquino Day - Special (Non-Working) Day
Pursuant to Proclamation No. 1006, Series of 2025, the following pay rules shall apply tomorrow:
• If the employee does not work , the “no work, no pay” principle shall apply unless there is a favorable company policy, practice, or collective bargaining agreement (CBA) granting payment on a special day;
• For work performed during the special day, the employer shall pay the employee an additional 30% of the basic wage on the first eight hours of work (Basic wage x 130%).
• For work performed in excess of eight hours, the employer shall pay the employee an additional 30% of the hourly rate on said day (Hourly rate of the basic wage x 130% x 130% x number of hours worked).
• For work performed during the special day that also falls on the employee's rest day, the employer shall pay the employee an additional 50% of the basic wage on the first eight hours of work (Basic Wage x 150%).
• For work performed in excess of eight hours during the special day that also falls on the employee's rest day, the employer shall pay the employee an additional 30% of the hourly rate on said day (Hourly rate of the basic wage x 150% x 130% x number of hours worked).
