Usa kini ka higayon alang sa mga kabataan ug ilang pamilya nga magkauban ug makatagamtam sa bililhong panahon uban sa usag usa.
Kabahin usab sa kalihokan ang seminar bahin sa Parent Effectiveness, nga naghatag og dugang kahibalo sa mga ginikanan sa mas maayong paggiya, pag-atiman, ug pagsuporta sa ilang mga anak.
Gipalig-on niini ang relasyon sa pamilya ug gihatagan og dugang suporta ang mga kabatan-onan sa ilang proseso sa rehabilitasyon ug pagpadayon ngadto sa mas maayong kaugmaon.

Malampusong gipahigayon sa RJJWC-X Secretariat ang orientation alang sa mga Barangay Council for the Protection of Children (BCPCs) sa Baungon, Bukidnon, nga naglangkob sa tanang 16 ka barangay.

Ang kalihokan nagtutok sa Republic Act No. 9344, nga gi-amendar sa RA 10630; mga protocol sa pagdumala sa Children at Risk (CAR) ug Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL); Diversion; Juvenile Justice Management Information System (JJMIS); ug ang pagporma sa Comprehensive Barangay Juvenile Intervention Program (CBJIP).

Tumong niini nga mapalig-on ang kahibalo ug kapasidad sa mga barangay stakeholders sa proteksyon sa bata, juvenile justice, diversion, pagdumala sa datos, ug evidence-based nga pagplano sa mga interbensyon nga motubag sa tinuod nga panginahanglan sa mga bata sa komunidad.

Pinaagi sa padayon nga capacity-building ug pagtinabangay, ang RJJWC-X nagpadayon sa pagsuporta sa pagtukod og mas luwas, inklusibo, ug child-friendly nga mga komunidad diin ang matag bata mapanalipdan ug hatagan og makahulugang kahigayonan nga molambo.

The Regional Committee for the Welfare of Children (RCWC) and the Regional Juvenile Justice and Welfare Committee (RJJWC) successfully convened their 3rd Joint Meeting, bringing together partner agencies and stakeholders to strengthen coordination and collective action for the welfare and protection of children in the region.

The meeting featured key updates and discussions from both committees:

𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗝𝘂𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗝𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 (𝗥𝗝𝗝𝗪𝗖):

• A Resolution Endorsing the Regional Research Management Guidelines (RMG) 2026-2029 for Approval and Adoption by the Regional Juvenile Justice and Welfare Committee -X
• Signing of Memorandum of Understanding between RJJWC-X and Academe Sector
• A Resolution Approving the Integration of the Regional Research and Evaluation Committee (RREC) and the Regional Technical Working Group (RTWG) Into One Subcommittee on Academe under the Regional Juvenile Justice and Welfare Committee – Region X
• Presentation on the Nihilistic Violent Extremism (NVE)
• Guidelines on the Monitoring Tool for the BPAs, Other Youth Care Facilities and Detention Facilities

𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻 (𝗥𝗖𝗪𝗖):

The meeting highlighted the continued commitment of RCWC and RJJWC member agencies in enhancing collaborative efforts, strengthening governance mechanisms, and advancing initiatives that ensure the protection, participation, and overall well-being of children in the region.

The RJJWC-X Secretariat successfully conducted an orientation on RA 9344, as amended by RA 10630; CAR and CICL handling protocols; Diversion; JJMIS; and the formulation of the Comprehensive Local/Barangay Juvenile Intervention Program (CL/BJIP) for the LCPC and BCPCs of Mahinog, Camiguin, covering all 13 barangays.

The activity aimed to strengthen the capacity of local and barangay stakeholders in child protection, juvenile justice, diversion, data management, and evidence-based intervention planning responsive to the needs of children in their communities.

Through continued capacity-building and collaboration, RJJWC-X supports the development of safer, inclusive, and child-friendly communities where every child is protected and given meaningful opportunities to thrive.

DSWD Official Statement on the Shooting Incident in Banga, South Cotabato
September 18, 2026

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) extends its deepest sympathies to the families of those who lost their lives and to all those affected by the shooting incident in a school in Banga, South Cotabato on Friday (September 18).

DSWD Field Office 12 - SOCCSKSARGEN is already in coordination with the local government unit of Banga and other concerned agencies. The DSWD social workers are also in the hospital where the injured students were brought. Psychosocial support and psychological first aid will be given to all affected individuals to help them cope with the trauma, grief, and distress during this difficult period.

The DSWD stands in solidarity with the families and the community of Banga and remains committed to providing the care, protection, and support they need to recover and move forward.

The RJJWC-X Secretariat successfully conducted an Orientation on the Salient Features of Republic Act No. 9344 (Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act of 2006), as amended by Republic Act No. 10630; Protocol in Handling Children at Risk (CAR) and Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL); Diversion Program; the use of the Juvenile Justice Management Information System (JJMIS); and the Workshop on the Formulation of the Comprehensive Local/Barangay Juvenile Intervention Program (CL/BJIP) for the LCPC and BCPC of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Sapad, Lanao del Norte.

The activity aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of local and barangay stakeholders in implementing child-sensitive interventions, strengthening diversion and prevention programs, improving juvenile justice data management through JJMIS, and formulating evidence-based CL/BJIPs responsive to the needs and concerns of children in their respective communities.

Through continuous capacity-building, collaboration, and strengthened local mechanisms for child protection, we move closer to building safer, more inclusive, and child-friendly communities where every child is protected, guided, and given meaningful opportunities to thrive.
