CHO ISSUES ADVISORY ON HAZE
THE Cagayan de Oro City Health Office (CHO) reminds the public to take necessary precautions to protect themselves from the effects of haze and reduced air quality.
β’Minimize prolonged outdoor activities, especially when haze is visible, and limit outdoor exposure during midday and afternoon hours.
β’Vulnerable groups should take extra precautions, particularly children, older persons, pregnant individuals, and those with asthma, allergies, or heart and respiratory conditions.
β’Wear a well-fitting mask, preferably an N95, when going outdoors in areas with noticeable haze.
β’Keep windows and doors closed when air quality is poor to reduce exposure to haze particles indoors.
β’Use fans or air purifiers, if available, to help improve indoor air circulation and air quality.
β’Stay hydrated and maintain a healthy diet to support overall and respiratory health.
β’Stay updated with official advisories from the Cagayan de Oro City Health Office, DENR-EMB, and other concerned government agencies.
