๐๐๐๐, led by its Rotary Year 2026โ2027 President, ๐๐ฟ. ๐ช๐ถ๐น๐ฏ๐ผ๐๐ฟ๐ป๐ฒ ๐ฃ. ๐ก๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ, during an outside meeting held at Demetrios Pizza, Uptown CDO, Cagayan de Oro City on September 3, 2026.
During the meeting, ๐๐ฆ๐๐ก๐ฆ๐ฃ ๐ ๐๐ฅ๐ฌ ๐ฅ๐ข๐ฆ๐ ๐ฆ ๐ฃ๐๐๐๐ก๐ , City Jail Warden presented its AVP featuring the demographic profile of the jail and its Welfare and Development Programs and ongoing interventions, providing our partners with a clearer understanding of the PDL population, their needs, and the various rehabilitation initiatives being implemented inside the facility.
We likewise presented our proposed ๐น๐ฐ๐บ๐ฌ ๐ท๐๐๐๐๐๐โ Rehabilitation, Inclusion, Skills, and Empowerment for Women PDL, together with proposed projects and activities corresponding to the seven Areas of Focus of Rotary.
More than simply seeking assistance, CDOCJ-FD aims to establish a long-term, meaningful, and sustainable partnership with Rotary - one that creates programs that can continue to benefit our PDL even beyond the initial implementation.
Through this partnership framework, Rotary may identify the projects that best align with its advocacy and areas of service, while CDOCJ-FD provides the environment, beneficiaries, implementation support, monitoring, and continuity of the programs.
Our goal is sustainability.
Every project must not only answer an immediate need but should create a lasting impactโwhether through education, livelihood and skills development, health and wellness, family strengthening, peacebuilding, water and sanitation, or environmental initiatives.
Most importantly, every project shall be subject to regular monitoring and evaluation, allowing us to assess on how the project positively transforms the lives of our women PDL and contributes to the welfare of the CDOCJ-FD family as a whole.
We believe that rehabilitation becomes more meaningful when government and the community work together.
Through collaboration, accountability, sustainability, and Service Above Self, we can create opportunities that help our women PDL learn, heal, develop skills, rebuild relationships, regain confidence, and prepare for a productive life beyond the jail walls.
Together, let us turn partnerships into sustainable opportunities and second chances.
Our sincere appreciation to Rotary Club of Golden Friendship and President Dr. Wilbourne P. Neri for the time, openness, and willingness to explore meaningful areas of partnership with CDOCJ-FD.
