𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Cagayan de Oro City successfully conducted the Online BANWAG Seal of Excellence cm Kumustahan of Performance Status for the 2nd Quarter of CY 2026 via Zoom Video Teleconferencing on October 7, 2026.

The activity brought together Punong Barangays, Barangay Secretaries, Barangay Treasurers, and DILG personnel in a meaningful virtual gathering centered on good governance, compliance, and stronger public service.

“𝑲𝒊𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒓𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒈𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒅𝒊𝒍𝒊 𝒍𝒂𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒂𝒉𝒊𝒎𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝒏𝒈𝒂 𝒊𝒏𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒎𝒂𝒅𝒂𝒘𝒂𝒕 𝒌𝒂𝒓𝒐𝒏, 𝒌𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒍𝒊 𝒑𝒂𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒖𝒎𝒅𝒐𝒎 𝒏𝒈𝒂 𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏𝒚𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒃𝒊𝒔𝒚𝒐 𝒂𝒅𝒖𝒏𝒂𝒚 𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊 𝒖𝒈 𝒂𝒅𝒖𝒏𝒂𝒚 𝒆𝒑𝒆𝒌𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒂 𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒂𝒃𝒖𝒉𝒊 𝒔𝒂 𝒅𝒂𝒈𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒂𝒘𝒐.,” said DILG Cagayan de Oro City Director Ellaine Josephine B. Depaur, DM, CESE. She acknowledged the everyday sacrifices of barangay officials who continue to serve their communities despite the pressures and challenges of public service.

CD Depaur further underscored that the BANWAG Seal of Excellence goes beyond being a mere recognition, as it serves as a testament to the commitment of barangay officials to delivering responsive, efficient, and meaningful public service. She emphasized that every effort, regardless of scale, contributes to creating a positive and lasting impact on the lives of the communities they serve.

The activity became a space not only for updates and coordination, but also for sincere discussions on important local governance concerns. This month, DILG 10 joins Indigenous Peoples and Indigenous Cultural Communities across Northern Mindanao and the country in celebrating National Indigenous Peoples Month and the 29th anniversary of the Indigenous Peoples Rights Act (IPRA).

With the theme “Empowering Indigenous Peoples: Strengthening Rights, Cultural and Ancestral Domains,” DILG 10 supports the protection of their rights, culture, knowledge, and ancestral domains, and their meaningful participation in local governance.

Let us celebrate their heritage, listen to their voices, and recognize their wisdom in building sustainable and equitable communities.
