π‹πŽπŽπŠ: Coast Guard Station (CGS) Romblon, together with its Sub-Stations, intensified its public safety and maritime security initiatives through the posting of Electronic Tip (ETIP) tarpaulins across all ports within its Area of Responsibility (AOR) in preparation for Semana Santa and Summer Vacation 2026 today, 27 March 2026.

The activity is in line with the Philippine Coast Guard’s iCare Program and the Electronic Tip (ETIP) Reporting System, carrying the advocacy line, β€œPAG MAY NAKITA, E-SUMBONG.” It aims to encourage the public to immediately report suspicious maritime activities, safety hazards, and other incidents requiring Coast Guard intervention through the ETIP platform.

In addition, Coast Guard personnel conducted inspections in various ports to ensure compliance with maritime safety regulations and to promote vigilance among vessel operators, crew members, and passengers.

π‹πŽπŽπŠ: In celebration of the 43rd Founding Anniversary of the Coast Guard District Southern Tagalog, Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Cajidiocan, together with Coast Guard Sub-Station (CGSS) Magdiwang, conducted a mangrove planting and coastal cleanup at Brgy. Danao, Cajidiocan, Romblon on 20 February 2026.

Led by Petty Officer First Class (PO1) Paul Anthony T Marceno PCG, the activity was attended by Barangay Officials, Barangay Tanod, members of Samahang Mangingisda ng Danao (SAMADA), and immersion students from Danao Senior High School.

A total of 500 mangrove propagules were planted. During the cleanup drive, 20 sacks of assorted biodegradable and non-biodegradable waste were collected along approximately 1.5 kilometers of shoreline.

The activity aimed to promote environmental protection and strengthen community participation. The event was successfully completed with no untoward incidents reported.
